I know watching a Grantham coached defense on 3rd and long is considered an extreme version of a pain tolerance test for most Gator fans.

Has to be a lawsuit there. Regardless of any waiver signed.

This is such a dumbass tweet lol. Another scenario where you get injured at a job interview? Literally all college sports that have professional leagues?
The lineman test? Police academy? There are TONS of examples lol, why is he being so extra?

Great bloodlines, young guy who has already put in some quality stops on the resume and should recruit well. IMO this is a very good move

He was the engineer of record setting offenses in FCS …and was a mentor to the QB Hodges, who broke records at the FCS level? Yeah, I can live with it. This hire doesn’t suck.

Hopefully this works out, can't be much worse than last year. ;):D

Well regarded as up and coming offensive mind which is what Giants thought of him when they hired him. Considered Emfinger's right hand man in LSU whose fans were not happy when not retained. Here's a good read to get a better idea what Napier sees here.

That is a great article. My first question is why was he our TE analyst last year? It seems he could have been a position coach at any FCS school and some FBS schools. I don't hate it but am curious why he landed here.

I guess Napier's army is paying off.

In addition, I'm tired of the retread coaches. When some on this site thought we should target Charlie Strong I damn near puked. His best coaching days are 10 years behind him now...same with Brewster.

I love the thought of new ideas with some younger coaches and analysts.

Finally - he sounds like a high energy guy which could mean he'll do well on the trail. If he can recruit, he will be successful.

got cha. I also got to remember to the time of year it is. If i wanted more of a “splash” hire, that wasnt going to happen lol. Long as he helps develop the TE’s and can recruit well in due time, let’s ride!!

My son was at Samford at the time. The passing game was legit. I have no idea what contribution if any this coach had, but he's been in the right places up until now.

They were stress tests! I think I could have destroyed every tv I bought. Heart rate went through the roof. If this new DC has his dbs 10 to 15 yards off the ball on third down, both he and Napier can go….. I am waiting on a coach who actually can make a difference on the defense. Florida always had good tough aggressive defenses through the years and now we are going with a young one. If he is going to be learning on the job, we are sunk.

Two wisdom teeth will be yanked tomorrow, but my dentist (she/her, for real) is pretty. Might almost be worth it.
