While climate change may or may not be real, a “floating solar array” at Fort Bragg, or whatever the hell the woke-ists plan on calling it this week, is not going to affect anything. Many sources are suggesting a Ukrainian offensive in May. 60,000 Ukrainian troops, trained on NATO weapon systems will be ready. Barring a Russian breakthrough or collapse, I suspect nothing will be decided until then.
Human Verification Russia definitely has the initiative right now. Generally from a massive advantage in manpower. Given their massive losses for minimal territorial gains you have to wonder how long they can keep this up. Tough stuff on both sides right now. Can Ukraine hold long enough for Russia to tire and counterattack once more?
All of that is speculation on highly unlikely scenarios. And yeah, if the war is still raging in November 2024, I do hope whomever wins the WH will make a settlement. I have been very critical of Obama’s handling of the initial invasion in 2014, but that was only to point out the Russian incursions all happened on Obama/Biden’s watch. Obama’s approach to 2014 was actually very pragmatic and has aged well, tbh. Obama was quite prescient on the Iraq war and is proving to be very prescient on Russia. Obama’s approach to Russia is more similar to Trump’s than it is to Biden’s, I hate to tell you.

Respectfully, I think you are partly wrong about it. I do agree the counteroffensive is coming and that it will be very consequential to the outcome. But I also believe if the counteroffensive is unsuccessful, we will start hearing new reasons why we need to put in place a NATO patrolled no fly zone or perhaps even surgical, strategic NATO aerial strikes designed to hit only unmanned Russian military installations, weaponry and aircraft on the ground.

Something really bad would have to happen for NATO to go "on the offensive" in Ukraine. Like REALLY bad. Like the war spreading to other regions - like maybe Belarus invading or Moldova being thrown into a Coup - and even that doesn't seem like enough.
