It's raining lightly in NW Gainesville (11:20) and it seems it will be through here within two hours- I see nothing on the radar behind this line. Unless it stalls we should be good to go.
Great point!! rain showing at or very near stadium at 12:45-1:25 time frame and lingering some. Could be little lightning. Not sure why they have not altered start time. I’m like you and real concerned Waldrep goes through pre game prep for not. Just move it back an hour or two. Seems like an easy one.
No lightning and very light drizzle at the moment. More on the way but nothing heavy and nothing that suggests lightning.
Radar shows possible lightning 12:45-1:00, saying possible because when I see yellow on radar I always think possible. Field covered since last night so if any delays hopefully just taking tarp up. Some of radar has red within 10 mile range.
Still a better product on the floor than what we had under White. Just sucks what happened to Castleton. Hard to replace that kind of production.
Yes, we're under the yellow shading on the radar now and it's a good steady rain, which the garden needs, but no lightning anywhere in the area.
I’m at the park now and the rain from a small squall line is coming down. Everyone is correct there should be nothing behind it. Unless something pops up, we should pretty much start on time.
I'm parked now. Rain line started in Paynes Praire coming up 441. Just a light mist here at the stadium. Parking lot is about half full at 12 22 with another car arriving every minute.
Light drizzle with occasional rain but no lightning. Got to believe start will be close to 2 but no later than 3. See you inside.
On second thought radar still shows maybe another 40 to 50 minutes of rain. The car seems like a more comfortable spot for now.
Misting but nothing serious. Reminds me of when my father was taking my brother and I on a fishing trip leaving pre-dawn and it was misting like now and my mom asked- "are you still going in this?" and my father said: we're not made of sugar, are we?" that line always stayed with me. We had a wonderful time that day and caught a few nice sized strpped bass....on a foggy but beautiful day.
