Hardly but it is true that a murdered has no obligation to help the prosecution. They only try to prove their innocence with info that does that.

The US is hardly the only country calling out China. Australia was very critical at one point until China brow beat them.

This is not directed at you specifically, but I do think that it’s possible to be nice even when you don’t agree with someone.

It arose in Wuhan. What arose in Wuhan. Panic. Panic and nothing more than panic. And it spread across the globe.

The problem on TH is that the herd gets a pass, for its snark, but not the outliers. In other words, the minority is considered mean for returning snark for snark. I suspect it’s just human nature.

Here we get into the word parsing to try to cling to the lies of Covid.

There is little doubt that it arose in Wuhan. Whether it was the result of a lab leak or from infected animals being sold at a wet market and both are still equally probable keeping in mind that DOE's conclusion (the source of the FBI's conclusion) was made with low confidence it was still the fault of the Chinese government.

"Word parsing"? They literally said they have "low confidence" in this assessment. No parsing needed. You just have to read and comprehend what they actually said.

That’s like saying the “we have low confidence” that water is wet!

It's also like saying "we have low confidence that Iraq is stockpiling WMDs".

See ... "low confidence" can go either way.

If you want to understand the Testing Pandemic we are in, a great place to start is by reading how the Drosten PCR test was created entirely in a computer based off of social media reports without any actual "SARS-COV-2" isolates available. This is the test used most around the world, and just like the CDC test, it is highly inaccurate and generates positive results even with water. This was the basis for turning the world upside down.

I do think it’s a general human nature-esque problem, and members on both sides feel the snark for snark situation. I just want to suggest that it is possible to desire civility without desiring one gives up their beliefs. I don’t think it’s an easy situation to cultivate, but it is I believe a worthy aim.

I don’t know the history to which you refer, but yes I would certainly hope no one would get blocked for respectfully stating a dissenting opinion.

I tend to agree. Just pointing out why the origin could matter.

Believe it or not, the DOE maintains one of the most secretive labs on the planet. It is is actually called "Z Division" (no joke, this is not from Men in Black). It is located on the campus of the Lawrence Livermore Lab. The mission of those folks was to determine the threat level from biological agents that we learned about from the Soviet Union in the 70's and 80's. They were also involved in investigating biological agents in Iraq.

However, to the best of anyone's knowledge, virology, and specifically viral genetics are not exactly the strong suit of those people. So again, a bunch of non-experts investigating something and coming up with a weak-arse conclusion that runs in direct conflict to some of the world's leading experts in the field.

To me, it sounds like someone is pushing for more funding from Congress and knows exactly the correct hot button topics and the ideal opinions to spew to cozy up to the newly led MAGA House of Represenatives.

Now wait, viruses don’t exist so it’s not possible to make a bio weapon from something that is non existent right?
