The safety was never even on my tv screen. The only time I would ever see him was chasing the receiver into the endzone or if we ran that god awful safety blitz.

Hoping folks recognize the quote and why it’s appropriate. Unlike how Corch Armstrong looks, The Duke was much older than his trainees in that movie, though.

I think you learn faster when you aren’t afraid to jump. Being to safe poses no learning experiences.

A good qb like Trask will eat tgat shit all day long. Reading about Mertz seems like he may be one to be able to read a defense and take that free yardage. 2nd and 4 is so much easier on a qb than 2-10. Game manager? Whatever, take what’s given.

I'm just hoping he's not "3rd & Armstrong". Hopefully he can get our guys off the field.

But, the original sure did put UF on the map. And, there's a guy in Georgia who wears one, too and has done OK.

Great article. I really like the guy. So, this may be unpopular but why?
I hope so, because that coach put together some fantastic defenses for the Gators.

Looks like this young man knows a hell of lot more then just checking all of the required check boxes. The part that I like best about him, is that really knows how to make a plan and more importantly he knows how to work that plan. I can't wait to see how the team (especially the defense) feeds off of him.

Who says we throw on second down, CBN only throws on third and long, this is so the defense doesn’t know what’s coming, LOL

If you can’t execute a given check down and take 2nd and 4, how the hell you going to call plays.
