I apologize for saying your side plays loose with the facts because it’s untrue. Everyone knows you can’t play loose with something you don’t have to begin with.

Ron DeSantis loses his cool with a reporter after failing to answer a question on how his Ukraine policy would differ from Biden's (msn.com)

Ron DeSantis lost his cool with a reporter when challenged over how his policy on the war in Ukraine would differ from President Joe Biden's, amid speculation the Florida governor is poised to launch a 2024 presidential bid.

DeSantis was profiled Thursday by The Times of London, which was granted a relatively rare level of access to the Republican rising star. The Times is owned Rupert Murdoch, whose Fox News network frequently interviews DeSantis. The Times US Editor, David Charter, wrote that DeSantis showed a "flash of temper" when asked about Ukraine.

"I ask about Ukraine and he says that 'there's a critique of Biden, and I think I'm sympathetic to it in the sense that, is our policy just do whatever Zelensky wants? Or do we have a concrete idea of what we're trying to achieve exactly?'" wrote David Charter.

"When I ask him how it should be handled differently, he refers to Biden being 'weak on the world stage' and failing at deterrence, but as that is not answering how it should be handled now, I ask again. DeSantis does not have anything to add: 'Perhaps you should cover some other ground? I think I've said enough.'"

Should it be surprising that Mitt was fact checked more than Bernie. Mitt Romney was the presidential nominee of a major political party. Although Bernie tried twice he didn't come close to winning the nomination of his party.

That poster brought up Sanders. I simply fact checked one Senator I guessed who has been around a while like Sanders. Believe it is an apt comparison with Sanders and Romney. Not sure why this is push back on politifact being pretty far left. It's obvious from the numbers. Also, since you seem to think politifact is down the middle, why hasn't politifact done a fact check on "The Truths We Hold" By Kamala Harris or "Promise me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship and Purpose" by Biden? I'm sure there is a perfectly good reason LOL.

Just to point out an error, Sanders has never joined the Democratic Party, he just sought their nomination. I never understood how he was allowed to run for the nomination but for some reason he was. Thankfully he never sniffed the nomination.

Why do the number of times fact checked mean anything? You have yet to explain that. I mean why is Sanders/Romney checked more than Schumer, the leader of the Senate? Or McConnell, the minority leader? What bias does that represent? Maybe its just that neither of them ran for president, maybe its something else. You are arguing there is some simple explanation, but the number of times checked doesnt explain much of anything, certainly nothing as simple as "far" left/right bias.

He has a lot of boogeymen in his life from the U.S. government, medical community, public schools all the way to fact checkers and the color blue.

Look, I think fact checking sites like Politifact are stupid, I'm not sure what they are actually useful for lol. They obviously dont convince anyone of anything they arent already convinced of.

LOL. I guess this is your long winded way of saying "of course politifact is biased towards R's". Thanks for agreeing.

Nope, you are just very poor at making a coherent argument. But thanks again for helping provide more proof politifact is biased towards R's. Appreciate it.

Yes, something more complex than number of time fact checked = bias, might be a little too much for you to follow, I can see why being bad at reading makes things incoherent for you. How many times are you going to deploy this move where you say "thanks for agreeing?" That usually signals you've called it quits, so quit why dont ya if you have no interest in digging any deeper. You've already chalked this up as a W on your imaginary scoreboard, so go celebrate!

I showed 4 different comparisons showing how politifact is biased. It's ok. It went over your head. I'm not going to dumb it down for some who can't read.

Now wait a minute. This started with Politifact pointing out DeSantis claimed he kept Florida beaches open despite that fact he ordered some beaches closed.
You claimed Politifact was wrong because DeSantis listened to Fauci, which makes no sense. Or that Politifact was wrong because you think DeSantis did a great job. That has nothing to do with it, either.
So you moved on to just generic dismisall of Politifact claiming, among other things, that Politifact ruled that school closures worked. After I asked you more than once for evidence, you produced a quote in which Politifact quite clearly said nothing close to that. It said that Biden was following thru on his promise to use the CDC's scientific guidance.
Then you said that doesn't count because you disagreed with the CDC.

If you ever acknowledged those screwups, I missed them.
Now, you've apparently locked into "Politifact checks Republicans more than Democrats," which I guess is still your continued attempt to dismiss its factcheck of DeSantis, which was of course, valid.
And then .. you accuse of others of not making a coherent argument?

Personally, I think wgb’s point is a good one. Fact checking sites don’t only rate things false, right? They can also rate statements to be true. So let’s say that due to a bias against him they decided to not to rate all of DeSantis’ true statements in order to make him look bad. Then wouldn’t this bias against DeSantis manifest itself as a lower number of fact checks?

I've shown Politifact is a pretty far left leaning site. Gave 4 specific examples.

Here is Politifact saying lockdowns work and anyone saying otherwise is false. Applies to school shutdowns as well obviously. That was wrong.

Why didn't politifact then fact check Kamala Harris and Biden's books? Just felt like doing Desantis's book for shits and giggles?

Someday people will wake up to the fact that Rs and Ds in Washington play for the same team, and we aren't on it. DeSantis is just trying to make that team.
