Quit using Purnell. He's had plenty of chances and just is more of a liability than a benefit. Hartzog needs more opportunity and get Clemente in there ASAP. Arroyo will be a benefit, as will Cade Fisher. Nic Fic has his ups and downs, but is more reliable than Purnell. Where is Nesbitt?

Agree. Seems like if your not great in practice you don’t play. Major premium on practice but production is what matters. Your right about Hartzog. Question you end with is a good one.

Well there's a great idea....remove the 2-3 worst pitchers from every game. We would win pretty much every game lol!
Oh wait, what if the pitchers we use instead actually perform worse? Hmmm, may need to rethink this one. In case you haven't noticed the last couple of years it is just slightly difficult to predict what anyone coming out of the pen is going to give us.

What is so sad is that this is the best hitting UF team I may have ever seen. Cag, Wyatt, Kurland, Evans, Rivera, BT, and Heyman look formidable vs any opponent. That is 7 Thumpers!!! But scoring 8, 10, or 11 may not be enough with this pitching staff.

Jax U came into our series with a Team BA of .218. Near the Mendoza line. Bad hitters and bad fielders, gosh Kris Armstrong on his own committed 5 errors in 2 games. Yet with our pitching we split. We have a staff that was burned by lowly usf for 7 in the top of the 9th. Typically, teams like that would mail it in when that far behind by sending in the pinch hitters.

A mediocre staff that was a bunch of 4.00-4.75 ERA guys could win us almost every game we play.

Kind of like an Okla football team w/ Landry Jones or Baker Mayfield etc with weapons all over the field but -0- defense.

The great idea is to distribute work load differently.
Always do what you’ve always done you’ll always get what you’ve always got.

    nothing changes- nothing changes.
