Imagine thinking that 24/7 piped in terror would make people healthier.

In our school district we had schools with over 10% of the teachers out for months on end. 25% of the teachers were out for 4 straight weeks in one school during the fall of 2021. When that many teachers are out, not much learning is happening. They had teachers doubled up on classrooms, standing in the doorway of one classroom trying to give instructions for five or ten minutes, then crossing the hallway to do the same for another class. Or doing alternating days, with a warm body sitting in the room with the kids on the off days. Some schools just sent everyone without a teacher to the auditorium so they could get away with 2 staff members watching 8 classes of students.

Who knew that if you shut down schools not a lot of learning would take place ? On the other hand, it was a powerful argument for home-schooling.

Look. You clearly needed to lock yourself up from society because fools like fauci scared you.

You don’t destroy others in society because you are scared. And scared unnecessarily. Unfortunate you fell for it.

I had legitimate concerns. What other communicable disease is top 5 in causes of death? None.

Global pandemics destroy lives. How would my wife and kids feel if I died because of COVID? Why is your convenience worth more than my life? And am I not one of those higher risk lives you wanted to protect? Or, do you just don't care about anything public health as long as you aren't effected?

Selfish doesn't begin to describe your position.

When they said shelter the vulnerable I thought they meant the frail elderly, not 45 year old men beset by morbid fears.

On the other hand, should we have sheltered the frail elderly ? I think we should have gotten them out and about. Taken them to Red Lobster once a week and stuff like that.

My mother-in-law died in an assisted living facility in 2017. I can’t imagine how miserable she would have been in the Regime of Terror that was 2020ff.

That is fine. We don’t destroy livelihoods because you have concerns. You do what you need to do.

Both my parents got Covid in the summer of 2020. Both were fine. Like the vast majority of people who got Covid. Was I more concerned than the flu at that time? Sure. I had my mom get a oximeter which I would have never suggested before. Outside that. It was a cold. The flu was worse for them. We adapt to the situation. We don’t destroy society out of unnecessary fear.

And yes. They are unvaccinated. NI has been fine for them. My mom eventually got an omicron version and did fine again. My dad was going to get the shot for traveling purposes early on. But eventually saw the anti science push of the shots and now would not let one of those shots in him ever. Same for my mom. They just shake their head at their friends who have allowed the fear to control them. Granted the number is dwindling as most have moved on.

Just centering on one category, 28,215 people died from the communicable disease of accidental or intentional injury ...

Your parents were lucky. 1.13 million Americans weren't as much, and died. Millions more were hospitalized, and many will never fully recover. Had we followed the Great Barrington Declaration, millions more would've died. But not you or your parents, so fine by you, right?!?

My neighbor had dementia and when his wife died he had to go to assisted living. His son lives a half mile away so he would come take care of the house. So he shows up one day and gives the news about his dad. I had no clue but he was put in hospice at one point right before Covid as he had stopped eating. But his son figured out it was the food. Go figure his son is a Doctor (orthodontist for those that want to demean his understanding of healthcare). Once his son got him eating again. He went off hospice. Then Covid. His son was no longer able to visit and next thing you know he is dead.

The disgusting reality of Covid and how we had people die alone.

All of it was BS! Evil not allowing family to be with family as they died. Evil!

1.13 million Americans died of age old causes falsely attributed to a fictitious pathogen.

Just look at the chart I posted above. Go to the left hand column.

Think these conditions needed extra help to kill people ?

They were not lucky. They were overall healthy and dealt with a life circumstance. Stop justifying the wrongs and evil we put on society.

I have a friend who had to communicate with her demented mother, through glass, for a year. Wasn’t allowed to touch her mother.

No. They were lucky. We know more now, but early on there was no ryhme or reason some suffered greatly, and others had asymptomatic cases. 1.13 million Americans weren't so lucky. That number was and is too high. Would've been much, much higher had we listened to people like you.

And many of us have conditions that are genetic, like my asthma. Inherited from my Dad. No matter how healthy I am, I'll always be an asthmatic. What was I supposed to do during COVID? How would you have protected me under the Great Barrington Declaration? How would I have helped take care of my kids?

The Great Barrington Declaration is nothing but a stupid platitude that has no way of being practically applied. And had we followed it, millions more would have died. But not you, so no worries on your part!

Debilitated as you are with fear, you should have stayed home and you should not have objected to better balanced people living normally.

You really need to let the fear you once lived with go.

I know you realize it is not as bad today. But it was not as bad then either. Learn and do what you need to do to protect yourself. Be healthy. Enjoy Life. Don’t live in fear.
