Obviously no one is above the law (if he did break any laws) but those sound more like grounds to potentially be fired. We just need to separate out the people who want him in jail because they didn't like wearing a mask or their kid having to do remote schooling. Ultimately, it's hard for me to believe that a guy who dedicated his life to public health would intentionally take action that wasn't in the best interest of the country. From reading some of the posts on here you'd think he was a mass murderer psychopath.

I'm sure it would do wonders for people's psyche when large numbers of people start dying for unknown reasons and there's no one within the federal government responsible for understanding why. How many panic induced deaths do you think we'd have in that scenario?

So let me see if I have this right. IF it is found that Fauci lied to congress and the American people about the fact that the US funded GOF research and covered it you don't think he should be in jail for that? So just pay him his monster pension and tell him "no big deal" and enjoy retirement?

Since there are no viruses such as to seed pandemics, maybe we could just concentrate on known mundane causes of death. Instead, Fauci and his ilk drag behind them a ponderous chain of needless hysteria and pharmaceutical mass-manslaughter ...

“Science” has also been made into the state’s impenetrable god figure that only certain “experts” actually understand. Fauci is one of these “Science Priests.” Only he, and a few like him with a similar appointed position, can determine what science is. So rather than yelling “Fauci-denier” we hear “science denier.” Definitions of certain words, such as “vaccine” and “immune” among several others, have been conveniently changed in order to fit the “New Science.” So now no one can utter anything, no opinion, no alternative insight, nothing, if it disagrees with the hierarchy now set in place.

I think it's just a leap in logic at the moment. Just because the NIH awarded a grant to a non-profit who also engages in GOF research doesn't mean the US explicitly funded that research absent proof that was why the US provided the funds. The NIH awards 60k grants per year. This would certainly be grounds for pulling any grants going forward, but one out of 60k grant recipients participating in GOF research to me doesn't constitute the US funding GOF research or lying to the American people about it.

What part of IF was confusing? IF Fauci is found to have lied to Congress and the American people about the US funding GOF research, should he go to jail. Simple question.

fauci is one of the worst people to walk this planet. Unfortunately he will never be held accountable for the damage he caused.

Don't shudder. Go to DuckDuckGo and put "Fauci" "HIV" in the search. You will find some scathing articles how he approached HIV. Here is just one from none other than the Huff Post. Whitewashing AIDS History

Remember when people were afraid to walk past a person with AIDS? Someone stoked that fear.
Video Resurfaces of Fauci Warning ‘Household Contact’ with AIDS Patients Could Put Kids at Risk

and don't even get me going about COVID. He opposed the China travel ban. He told us it was not a lab leak and then shared it was a possibility. The lockdowns were a failure and he admitted he never once thought of the economy nor did he consider the collateral damage to the publics health. School closures were a disaster. He said we did not need to wear masks then weeks later said we do. He told the world if you get the first two shots, you won't get Covid. He pushed vaccine mandates for children and ignored natural immunity. I'd be very curious as to what this man has done right.

He'd be guilty of perjury so yes he should. I think it carries a max sentence of 5 years.

A big ole meh on that AIDS video. That was from 1983. We didn't know a damn thing about AIDS at that point. I remember people wiping down their amazon boxes when covid first hit because it was thought you could get it from surfaces. Our understanding of these viruses and how to deal with them changes with time.

    From that huffpo blog:

"Had Fauci listened to people with AIDS and the clinicians treating them, and responded accordingly, he would have saved thousands of lives. In the two years between 1987, when Callen met with Fauci and 1989, when the guidelines were ultimately issued, nearly 17,000 people with AIDS suffocated from PCP. Most of these people might have lived had Fauci responded appropriately.

Um no they wouldn't have. It was a guaranteed death sentence until the late 90s.

AIDS irony. The homosexual community screamed for a special medical intervention and they got it. Good and hard.

So about 2 years ago I started a thread on this very board that said the world needed to hold China accountable for their role in the proliferation of Covid-19. I was told this was an accident, wet markets, it jumped from a bat, and all the other official stories, and that I was a "crazy right winger" because I believed it to be a lab leak. I will say it again. The world needs to hold China accountable the way the world has tried to hold Russia accountable for the invasion of Ukraine.

The people here are in denial about Rendesivir and AZT... These people totally forgot about Fauci's involvement in those massive cause of deaths. Renesivir is pure poison pretending to me medicine.

Sure - IF, yes he should be held accountable. IF he secretly murdered a hitchhiker in the 90s he should be held accountable. I was just taking the next step that I think it's a stretch at the moment to conclude he lied to Congress.

Why? Wuhan lab was doing GOF research. Not complicated. Fauci did lie. He literally tried to change the definition of GOF. When one tries to change the definition of something to make their statement not sound like a lie is most likely lying.
