I think this is good for democTATs. Shoring up the bench while with strong leadership and getting things done ion a national level. Chicago was a small crime problem isolated to a portion of the community for whatever reason Lori was unable to get a decent working relationship between the police and that community. Hopefully they can build that back up. By investing in the community and weeding out the bad/corrupt cops who are certainly part of the problem. Meh. Although people threw every anecdote at her mostly unfairly, she did herself zero favors to progressives by being so off putting and having rather pedestrian ideas. Only works for conservatives. Her real issue is inexperience combined with an unprecedented situation of handling Covid in a big city and all the fallout from it: violence, teacher strikes, business contraction. Needs some big ideas and adept negotiating. She has none of that.
I was in Downtown Chicago in August 2020. Dodge Chargers we’re drag racing through the city streets day and night. At the very least, they could have locked that down. Instead, it was starting to look like Escape From New York. Yes, that town needs new leadership.

This is why I hate affirmative action. She checked all the boxes, Black, woman and gay and took full advantage of it. She is an idiot and should be handing out fries at Mickey Ds instead of Mayor. SMH
