I have to hand it to JU, it's always an interesting game. Thankfully the Gators sealed the deal Tuesday, but you never know what will happen. This offense is amazing so far this year. Don't know how long this scoreboard "crookedness" will last, but it sure is fun to see happen. GO GATORS!!!!⚾️
The game notes has JU starting a RHP. If that remains its important to realize that Halter (.100) and Evans (.210) have the lowest averages of our starters facing RHP. Instead I'd like to see Prevask in RF and either Thomas or Shelnut at 3B. Heyman, who bats above 400 when facing RHP, needs to get another start after last night. He could play at catcher or DH with Cags at 1B and Riopelle where ever Heyman is not. Pitching wise for the Gators our best option is Cade Fisher but it seems to me Sully is spreading the midweek starts around. If not Fisher then its no telling who he starts. I hope we see any of Finnvold, Nesbitt, Ursitti and Tejeda. It would also be a pleasant surprise if Clemente got in for a short stay so we know if he is okay for now.
Like Fisher but I think important we see at least 2 of the 4 you mentioned in extended roles tonight. Fisher maybe for 2-3 and then couple of the others you mentioned. Finn hasn’t thrown yet. Hope he’s healthy. Nesbitt- 2/3 of an inning if memory serves me well. Ursitti- 2/3 of an inning. I’ll narrow it down to 3 guys. Love to see them all throw tonight. At some point we will need them and better to get them going sooner.
I agree in regard to Halter and Evans, but I feel like we need to save our proven strike throwers, like Fisher, for this weekend. Huge series coming up.
The lineup I'd like to see tonight if we face a RHP... 2B - Kurland LF - Langford 1B - Caglianone SS - Rivera DH - Riopelle RF - Prevask C - Heyman 3B - Thomas CF - Robertson
Hoping Lastres and Prevesk get some work tonight. Especially need to get Lastres back on the horse after a rough night last week
Since this and other stats on this site are a fluid statistic, this seems like a good place to post this link. Evans and Rivera with 16 RBIs each so far. https://www.ncaa.com/stats/baseball/d1/current/individual/487
MY DISH website now admits a cyberattack on 2/23. Until this afternoon I couldn't access anything through the WatchESPN app because they could not verify my DISH account. I'm now able to use the WatchESPN app and SEC+ comes up without any problem. Hope it stays online.
