I tend to think that the insanity in China was China trying to save face. In any case, it wasn’t China’s fault that the rest of the world became China.

That, a demented part of the brain wanted to believe that scientists something as lethal as a toxin that would spread from person to person as a virus is said to.

I have believed from day 1 that it escaped from the lab in Wuhan. If all the places on earth, it first is noticed in a City where they have a lab that experiments on coronaviruses. And it is not near bat caves. Meanwhile, the virus is effective at attacking all types of tissues— not just respiratory areas. And, in its original form, it passed only indoors and not in light. Whereas viruses typically are passed outdoors because that is where animals are. I assess that This virus was experimented in in a lab. If it infected animals in the Wuhan market, it is likely that similar animals were experimented on. So how did it learn to jump to people? Someone in the lab became infected.

They didn’t deliberately release the virus. China suffered terribly economically because of it. What they didn’t do was tell anyone and didn’t ask for help on containment.

Once again, we were lied to, ridiculed and mocked and are still being lied to. Some people really enjoy being lied to apparently.

    Man made virus
    Natural virus
    Manipulated virus

Conflation rules, these are not the same ;)

Way back at the beginning of this nonsense, they posted the inspection reports from one of the labs. It screamed low bid, lack of trained workers, lack of adherence to standards……. It is certainly a possibility worth considering. Then the convo went off the rails…. Of course the Grand Master was even praising China…. Not China Ron.

And for the present nonsense. Them pesky physicists release a report where they have Low confidence in their conclusions. Much like your Low T, this is not good. Ymmv;)

I think we are still stuck between stage four and stage five:

Stage 1: There is no credible evidence to suggest the virus originated in a Wuhan lab. President Trump is a race-baiting bigot.

Stage 2: it doesn’t appear that this could have originated in a Wuhan lab, but every possible lead should be checked out. President Trump is still a bigot.

Stage 3: alright we have some credible evidence now this could have originated from a Wuhan lab. We still don’t think it’s true, but it deserves further investigation.

Stage 4: several federal agencies confirm the virus originated from a lab in Wuhan. President Biden still denies.

Stage 5: OK!! You were right! Ya happy now?!? The virus came from a Wuhan lab!! But the Chinese weren’t doing it intentionally.

Of course, this is a bunch of nonsense. Here is a far more accurate picture of what each agency within the government actually says.

U.S. Government Divided On Covid Lab Leak Theory—Here’s Where Each Agency Stands

Basically, we have public health and intelligence agencies releasing relatively low confidence assessments on both sides. To you, I guess that is the same as "confirms."

But we also know that this is about pretending you were right and ginning up some resentment.

The White House still looking the other way tells you all you need to know about this virus and how it was handled.

Actually, Trump was one of only the few telling us the truth. Many of you took up the PRC talking points, blaming it on the United States.

WHAT?? Almost every known virus and many bacteriophages are inactivated or outright destroyed by sunlight.

There’s a difference in trying to prevent mass hysteria in the public and doubling down over a number of YEARS as to the origin of the virus.

Because it didn't. The government in China took action just prior to the Lunar New Year Celebration. A time when tens of millions of Chinese travel around their country to celebrate with family. The government ensured that movement did not take place in 2020, up to and including shutting down air transportation out of Hubei province, and specifically out of the city of Wuhan.

They probably did not cover that part of actual history on Faux News.

Link to Biden taking any position at all on the origin of the virus. Or “denying” the lab leak theory. This is a lie.

It should be noted this agency takes this position with “low confidence”. In essence, it doesn’t really mean much of anything. Essentially it just means the lab leak they see as more likely, I.e. it’s just their guess. To which, I say “duh”. But (a) it isn’t evidence (b)isn’t actionable.

Actually makes one wonder why any agency would randomly come out with a report they have “low confidence” in, if they aren’t ordered to do it by the admistrstion.
