You are essentially just making excuses for people. Why? It aids in these false equivalencies, so you can label posters who may be ok with or even preferring vaccination requirements as “extremists on the other side”.

Biden’s mandate actually went further, or was “different” from what I would have pushed, which would have focused more on specific kinds and density of worker. But ultimately a vaccination requirement is something we’ve all had to do at one point or another. Maybe not all as a “work requirement”, but at some point in our lives or children’s lives or pets lives or because of overseas travel. If a person is so opposed to it, but the company requires it, there really only is one resolution. Get vaccinated or get a new job. That’s it. In some cases - like healthcare or elder care - to refuse was actually ridiculous. There are of course grey areas where it’s less necessary, but at the end of the day the people refusing aren’t making some grand stand for liberty and freedom (as they might imagine). They were pretty much just misguided, but the loud ones were worse than “misguided”, they tend to be idiots or frauds trying to gain social media attention.

Following your lead let’s be clear it’s not MY agenda, it’s a policy laid out by businesses to protect employees and customers. I just accept it as being the price for employment, and it makes good business sense as someone else pointed out to you.

As far as the minority issue goes I can’t really respond to it because there seemed to be conflicting descriptions of what was going on. On the one hand there were complaints that the vaccine wasn’t getting to minority areas, but then we’re told the vaccines sent to those areas were expiring because people in minority areas were afraid of the vaccine because of what happened with syphilis, so the vaccine was being sent to high request areas instead.

Refusing the vaccine was a choice they made fully knowing the consequences. I have no sympathy for them because they chose poorly.

I refused the vaccine mandate, found another job, because I refused to participate in a mass-deleusion. There was literally nothing to vaccinate for. Much less subject myself to potential adverse effects.

I guess it would be silly of me to ask why you think there was nothing to vaccinate for, so I won’t.

If her dad says that she should arrive 2 hrs late for work everyday, or call black employees the N word, or she should wear no underwear to impress her fellow employees, or she comes in stoned because her dad says it will help her succeed, should she be excused for those behaviors?

Your argument is just bizarre. Basically arguing people are not responsible for their own decisions and actions. I thought conservatism was about personal responsibility.

You arent paying attention. I am fine with private businesses choosing. Its the government choosing that I take issue with.

A private business should be free to do as they wish. I was against DeSantis on this matter in fact.

And again, are you really blaming minorities for the fear they felt because of past sins against them?

What can I say? I'm a bit of a bleeding heart compared to most conservatives these days. ;)

Well, it wasn’t my objective to make them miss me. But yes, I’m sure they missed me as I was their only sales rep.

You worked for a company so small it had one sales rep yet still had a universal vaccination mandate? Something seems off.

I worked with the largest companies in America during the pandemic and none of them had vaccine mandates. There were different PPE rules, or testing frequency, and in-person guidelines but... no mandates... at any company that I worked with. If you read any article on mandates almost all of them relate to those type of restrictions which were lifted after 18 months. Maybe if you worked in healthcare, but as a single sales rep?

I can tell you’re vexed by my situation. It was a small outfit with probably a couple dozen technicians and administrative types. The sales side was a pilot program. Also ...

The federal government people I know where given a choice. Get the jab, or take a COVID test every day you come to work.

For me, the test was just as objectionable as it played into the delusion.
