Some statements are so obviously stupid that there’s no need to call the posters of them stupid, e.g., posts 4, 8 & 10.

Willfully ignorant may be a more accurate description than "stupid".

Before long people are going to need to travel to freedom states to get needed vaccinations for them and their families.

Not enough for them to simply opt out of things they don't like, they want to prevent everyone else from even having the option. Party of freedom my ass.

These are the people that consider themselves the “true” Americans, and entitled to run this country, by force if need be.

Maybe certain states will become sanctuary states where you can get your potentially lethal injections without harassment.

This is just the natural progression from forced vaccinations.

Some of us told you that was a slippery slope.

We are an overreaction culture. You made me do A, now I will make you do B.

    It's all stupid.

    Forcing Covid vaccinations is stupid.
    Banning Covid vaccinations is stupid.

    Politicians are stupid

Just curious, but do you know anybody that works in a hospital that approached/reached/exceeded capacity?

To put these two on any level of equivalence is just sad. It seems like however idiotic your former ideological compatriots get there is always the need to “both sides” the situation.

What did I say that was incorrect?

I have a very consistent stance. Neither side cares about us. They didn't during the height of the pandemic and they do not now.

The politicians are mostly power hungry narcissists that do everything for their own position.

But if you didn't think that pushback would come against the "forced vaccinations" crowd than I'm not sure what to tell you.

I "both side" many situations, because both sides are two sides to the same coin.

I'm more wondering why so many still "one side" these situations.

Whether or not you agree with any particular Covid vax mandate, there is a long history of vaccine mandates. It really comes down to debating specifics, timing, etc. Those who were for vaccine mandates, including me, were for trying to get to as normal as soon as possible, and protect ourselves and our loved ones to the extent reasonably possible.

Those who want to ban vaccines are just nuts who are either completely uninformed, nuts, or grandstanding in a tribal fashion.

That may be true, but they are elected by us. They are doing what the people elected them to do. I get so tired of people whining about “policitians suck” when they are just following voters lead. Real voters are electing these anti vaccination nut jobs and the likes of MTG. Old fashioned Romney and even Reagan type republicans are just not in demand.

There is always going to be pushback whatever happens. If it isn’t vaccination it’s something else. We have a media/entertainment profit industry that makes money by stoking outrage, in whatever form necessary. The day that we are hesitant to do what is right for fear of provoking a reaction from nutjobs is the day we are on the way to ruin.

Im a person who used to consider himself conservative and Republican. Of the posters here who aren’t conservative and Republican, I am probably as critical of democrats on some issues, like identity politics and some fiscal issues, as anybody here. But there is no equivalence to the idiocy you see on the left and the idiocy on the right Not even close.
