1.1 million dead Americans. Even if masks were only a tenth of a percent effective, that still saves thousands of lives.

I think you're glossing over the minor discomfort of having to wear a mask. Screw those thousands of people.

Think of it this way, If you put the hose in between the chain link fence none of it will get stopped. Same thing with masks and covid. Useless.

Except no RCT shows that. So you keep ignoring the data staring you in the face.

    But the
But the mask is between. Often two masks if each wears one. No one sticks their mouth inside a strangers mask. :D

We still have Universities requiring the vaccine to go to school. That is next level stupid, but since most schools are far left leaning it makes sense LOL. Can't stop the virtue signaling...

Let's check what the gold standard has to say:

Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of influenza‐like illness (ILI)/COVID‐19 like illness compared to not wearing masks

"Probably" sounds pretty sciency. Let's check the conclusion that definitively shows masks don't work:

The high risk of bias in the trials, variation in outcome measurement, and relatively low adherence with the interventions during the studies hampers drawing firm conclusions.

There is uncertainty about the effects of face masks.

Doesn't sound so conclusive to me...

Here is the issue. The CDC lied and said if you mask you are protected, which is false. So then people got much closer to other people than maybe they would have if they weren't fooled into thinking masks worked. So a possibility is likely the false belief that masks worked caused more deaths than not having a mask mandate.

Go read every RCT on masks. They don't show real world efficacy. It's ok to admit it. Go read any RCT pre 2020 on masks and they all say they don't work. Simple as that. The rest is you and others hoping they work. I'll deal in reality.
