Is it just that now is the least harmful time to have coaching changes?
The "portal" won't open again until after Spring. Early signing is still 10 months away.
Spring practice has not yet begun.
I don't think it's a coincidence that three staffers have parted ways this week.
The question will be is there a better time for these to happen?
Ideally maybe in January, but we can at least spin it that the coaches left for the NFL which really wouldn't be possible in January.
The "old" signing day is still in early Feb too.

Since these guys are NFL bound it is also reflective of that timing.....new coaches putting together their staff post Super Bowl

Perfect time to pick up coaches looking for opportunity and a fresh start.
Spring football practice is coming up for colleges and the draft for the NFL.
Fresh coaching blood keeps programs from getting stale.

NFL season just ended. I’m not surprised about coaching changes that happen after the NFL season has ended. It doesn’t help, but I’m sure CBN already has replacements in mind for position coach’s lost. I don’t think the 3 that left, left because they were being terminated. Can’t happen in Jan. If the NCAA playoffs and NFL are still ongoing. JMO.

I agree. Didn't Billy just complete the phase (phase 1 I think) where they evaluate and meet with everyone. Seems likely that pertains to coaches too. Not saying they were fired per se, but certainly not counter offered or convinced to stay. If they expressed they had NFL aspirations I think Billy may have helped them with those (as they mostly were his buddies) and saw the longer term benefit of getting someone who will stick around for the longer haul.

You are probably right about the timing. Less likely for transfers.
The coaches were probably told a lot earlier to look for something. And the break between NFL seasons is the best time to announce it (if it’s an NFL job). Easier for them to save face. If so, then Billy has his coaches best interests in mind.
Whether he pans out as a coach is still in question. But as a person, Billy’s an all right guy.

They went to the nfl, no need to spin anything. They are working at the highest level and they don’t recruit.

    AZ coach 2/14

New HC means searches started just 20 days or so

BTW Saban lost 3 coaches too

The next portal transfer opening starts on May 15th, I think.
