If had to pick three most likely names that could be the starter I'd go with Finnvold, Tejeda, and Ficarrotta. Hopefully all three of them pitch tonight. With the news on Clemente I'm sure he would only pitch for an inning or two whenever he comes back. If we get a good lead I'd like to see Arroyo some. Ursitti still hasn't pitched either.
Finnvold threw a gem against Oklahoma in the regional so it would not be a stretch for him to possibly get the start.
I have tickets to the UK basketball game, but opted for the baseball game instead. My bb tickets are going to Gator fans.
Didn’t read his comment as bashing Lastres at all, but just pointing out that a recruiting ranking is pretty meaningless when you get on campus and have to compete for playing time. Which is absolutely true. We’re 4 games into the season- not willing to throw Lastres, Halter, Abner, Sully, or whatever second-guessed player/coach under the bus just yet!

Have a commitment on Wednesdays from 6 pm - 7:30. Hopefully, by the time I get back Gators will have a comfortable lead.
Just a thought about the “play challenges” we’ve discussed here at the start of the season—just like football has 3 timeouts per half and the coach has to manage the use of his timeouts—I’m guessing a limited number of challenges per ball game for each team at least puts some restriction on the use of challenges without repercussions. Something has to be done.
Word here is USF has challenged the Gators to hide and seek as soon as the game is over. Either that or they are hoping the umpires think they are on the same team.
