Fans are gonna believe whatever they want, but these 2 guys were hired by the NFL. I doubt many know the true reasons behind all of this.
I know why these two are no longer our coaches... I watched all of our games last year. Oh, and even Grantham got rehired by an NFL team. The NFL is nothing great. They actually rehire the same old retreads over and over again and again. So, the NFL is not a higher authority when it comes to hiring coaches. One more thing, Napier's next move should be to hire a TE's coach that has plenty of GOOD OC experience. An OC should be able to help out our Head Coach and still coach up the tight-ends.
Whats with the state of Arizona..first it was Emory Jones...then Rashada....now Toney and Peagler to the Cards.
Florida hires Alabama's Austin Armstrong after defensive coordinator Patrick Toney leaves for NFL, per report
Napier does not have a target on his back. I do realize some fans wish that were the case; which I think is ridiculous.
The Arizona Cardinals must see something in Toney to hire him. Not likely they are flying by the seat of their pants. I would have liked to see Toney stay another year or two with more of his own players in place. Then, and only then, would I feel justified to judge his performance. It’s obvious there was a real attitude problem with some of the personnel he inherited and it’s not like we handed him the most talented players in the conference. When your most talented player is kicked off the team halfway(?) through the season it should be apparent that there is a serious problem with players either incapable or unwilling to “get with the program”.
I read where Toney salary was to go to $1 Million a year at UF next year. Wonder what he is making at Arizona. The same article said UF would have three assist coaches make a million each next year
We need to stop being a program with "Bama" expectations when we: 1. Don't recruit like Bama 2. Don't play like Bama 3. Don't coach like Bama 4. Don't spend like Bama 5. Don't hire like Bama. If the Florida Gators manage and spend like the Oakland A's, we need to stop acting like we're the New York Yankees until we earn that reputation back.
Agree with you on Scott. It made a ton of sense due to his abilities offensively, it takes something off Billy’s plate to allow him to see big picture more and Scott can flat out recruit.
