Only you still failed to post the evidence. Unless I missed it you didn't name a single Democratic politician who supported the castration of children and the first link that you posted concerning the DC Children's hospital mentioned patients up to the age of 21. If my math is correct that would include persons from age 18 through the of 21. Implicit in the statement from the hospital is that the care would be age appropriate.

I posted 3 different links from a variety of sources with both liberal and conservative bias, I posted several examples of minors receiving gender affirming surgery, and you defended it.

Now you're claiming that I didn't post any examples. What, you wish politicians supported gender affirming surgeries for minors?

You posted a few examples and I would agree that while accurate the occurrences were extremely rare. You still didn't name a specific politician who supported the surgeries and support of the broader category of "gender affirming care" is not the same as supporting irreversible surgeries.

You defended the surgeries for minors.

But now you want me to point to a politician who specifically said that, despite supporting it yourself. Most politicians who do support it like Newsom generally resort to euphemisms and obfuscation or they pretend it's not happening at all. That's telling because this is happening in California, Newsom demonizes people who oppose gender affirming care as transphobes, then resorts to euphemisms and obfuscation in cases where minors get gender-affirming surgery in his state.

It's telling that Democrats pretend this isn't happening and it's telling that you want to pretend it's not an issue because (smart) Democrats avoid this issue like the plague despite supporting surgeries for minors, yourself.

I would agree that the "conniving" Haley has little chance of clawing supporters away from the conniving Trump who when it comes to conning his supporters is in a class by himself. Although he is a theocratic authoritarian culture warrior even DeSantis doesn't come close to the original. Although he probably has even less chance than Haley Chris Sununu, the current governor of New Hampshire, is probably the real choice of coastal Republican donor not Nikki Haley.

First, I'm neutral on the subject of irreversible surgeries for minors under the age of 18. While those surgeries have been performed they are extremely rare. Under the normal standards of care irreversible surgeries are not performed on children under the age of 18. The examples that you cited while real are extremely rare. By the way and although I still think the decision should be between the healthcare provider, the patient and his/her parents I wouldn't object to a ban on irreversible surgeries for patients under the age of 18. A lot of the legislation regarding the case of transgender persons goes much further often banning any and all type of care for patients under the age of 18 and in some cases also limiting care for adults as well as children. Maybe it's just me but I don't think that politicians should insert themselves into decisions involving medical care but then I do not support the party of authoritarian theocrats.

You said it should be a decision between the parents and doctors. That is not neutrality. That is a defense.

Trump is not conniving. Nice try. I get that you Trump haters have a hard time with his honesty whether his thoughts/words are factual or not. They are sincere. It is why 10's of thousands show up to his rally's. The GOP is not sincere. McConnell, Haley, Sununu types are so beholden to their donor class. It's big big $. They cannot afford for Trump who is not beholden to anyone but the people to win. Unfortunately, DeSantis is now part of this group and they are controlling him. They control everything he now says. It doesn't take a genius to see this and what the GOP's plan is moving forward. I'll share with you how it will work. They will bring in RD last minute to go head to head with Tump while they try to bludgeon Trump with another half dozen GOP candidates. Trump will take them down one by one. Many so called Republicans are worn down by Trump and that is how the main stream media and Wall Street want it. He will win the nomination with flying colors, because the quiet voters want Trump. The Trump team is ready to beat the Dems at ballot harvesting. Trump has many flaws, but this next go around is going to be a real fight. The dems have no good candidate.

I guess that may be true if you view the issue as a binary with the alternatives being intervention by the state in medical decisions or allowing individuals to make their own medical decisions. By the way I did say that although it's less than the ideal a prohibition against irreversible surgeries for minors under the age of 18 would be acceptable to me. What would not be acceptable is the legislation that has been or will be enacted essentially prohibiting any treatment for persons both children and in some states even adults. I would also note that very often the legislation is so broad that it would even prohibit counseling by mental health professionals. What's somewhat ironic is that for decades conservative Republicans would frame their opposition to government health insurance using the narrative that it would result in politicians intervening in the doctor patient relationship. Turns out that they were right only it's so called conservatives who are actively supporting the intervention.

Addressing the last comment first, although Biden isn't especially strong if he is running against Trump his opponent will have even more baggage. As far as the GOP donor class is concerned although they didn't support him in the 2016 primaries they rallied around him pouring many millions of dollars into his campaign in the general election and although it didn't pay off they did the same in 2020 and if he is the nominee they will do so again in 2024. Between the 2017 budget busting tax cut bill and his deregulation agenda they definitely got a return on their investment in Trump's 2016 campaign. I suspect that Trump will fund his 2024 primary campaign by again "milking the sheep" through small donations from his working class supporters like he did from his various defense funds after he lost the 2020 election.

She definitely read the tea leaves wrong, this will hurt her with Republicans. Should have stood up to the 'woke mob' attacking Confederate heritage if she wanted to be president.
