I wonder if it happened earlier than that play. I once had a complete break of my thumb during a pickup game. It hurt a little at the instant of the break but not overly much. The pain started a bit later.

    Time to readjust.
JJ will start. He's a foul machine and can't run very long, so we'll see more minutes from Fudge, plus CJ in a backup role. I expect we might see Aleks for a few minutes each game, if just to give JJ a little rest.
So we really need all the guys to play smart and hard from here on out. Riley is on his way to becoming a star and may now become the best player on the team. The play of Reeves in the last two games gives me reason for hope. We probably don't have much chance in the next game, at Arky, but it'll be an opportunity to start adjusting the roles, and see if we can finish strong.

At least this gives us a chance to see how good or bad we will be next year without CC.

This is his 5th year playing, and he’s played all 5, so he’s done.

We lose CC, Loften, and Jones to eligibility, I believe.

Can make some guesses on transfer candidates.

Have two commitments as of now?

I think that means one open slot plus transfers...

Hands are weird. So many little bones. I casually smacked my hand once and dislocated a finger in two spots and it was out of commission for 10 weeks. Over basically a nothing.

Maybe some of you know more about the basketball redshirt rule than I do, but I am under the impression that once the German kid set foot on the floor earlier in the season, he lost his red shirt. Does anyone think differently?

Does anyone know exactly how he broke it? I watched it 5-6 times and can't for the life of me see it, whether it was on the screen or after while defending him. Looked so pedestrian in real time

It's a certain amount of games they have to play before burning their redshirt. I know a couple years ago they were talking about changing that number to 6 or 8, so at 7 games played he's pretty close if that's the current number. I know football is 4 games, which translates to about 1/3 of the season, so basketball might be closer to 10 now

JJ can't play like CC but he has his game, he knows he can't mess up and the team and coach are aware. I'm thinking he's going to play a lot better but will have to depend more on help for rim defense.

Of course we have to worry about how many minutes we can get out of him due to conditioning and his penchant for fouling. Will be interesting to see how Coach Golden manages the roster down the stretch.

I don’t believe that the basketball redshirt rule was ever changed although proposals were made. I have searched to find a change, but haven’t succeeded. I am guessing that Aberdeen and the German kid have blown a year of eligibility. I hope that I am wrong.

I think he already goes for 15/10.

15 hard beef tacos and 10 soft chicken tacos. Gotta have some energy!

But unless he pulls a Sanchez and has a dog on the bench during a break we're OK.
