Florida House votes 113-0 to effectively repeal name, image, likeness law

It’s the law of unintended consequences. At least they understood the issue with the legislation and did something about it. Better than a lot of politicians that pass laws and then pretend things are great when they clearly aren’t.

Nobody knew how NIL was going to play out when it started. As soon as they realized the law wasn’t working they eliminated it. Voice of the people I say. That’s why this discussion is relevant

Let’s hope not. This entire thread is about how the state law that was standing in our way was repealed. It’s a credit to the people who voted unanimously to ditch a law they created just a year earlier. Why? They heard the voice of the people and acted on it. Like an elected government is supposed to do.

Nowhere in the thread do the words Democrat, Republican, liberal, or conservative appear. So let’s applaud something good instead of trying to turn it into something else.

Our little buddy keeps ignoring the fact that the lawmakers who unanimously voted to repeal that law were a mixture of democrats and republicans. They did well working together to represent the people of Florida, and it’s appropriate to recognize. Yet “some people” can’t see that they’re the ones obsessed with politics - and hate for anything that doesn’t fit their agendas
