You’re getting bits and pieces right. The West did scuttle early negotiations. Urged the Zelensky regime to fight on. Key: Ukraine has known for some time that it is completely dependent on the US. Thus, if the US says no more help, Zelensky has to pull the plug. And as if on cue, here’s Washington telling Zelensky he has to pull something out of the hat because help is running out ...

How many howitzers, missiles and rifles were fired during that expansion? If the neighborhood chess club expands, do you call the police? "Buh ... Buh, But they expanded 200 yards to the east, officer! Can't you do anything to stop it?"

Sounds like Washington leveling them with about the reality of having a Republican house that is less likely to fund war efforts.

Also seems like a bit of a stretch to conclude the West scuttled negotiations. I'm sure we advised them that if they accepted a peace deal with Russia we would effectively treat them the same as Russia which I think is the correct approach. If you agree to cede territory to Russia that will only be the beginning until they want more territory or to install a puppet president in Ukraine.

So Ukraine had a choice - fall under Russian rule or fight back with the support of the US (until Republicans take political power).

Russian generals are now killing themselves to get out of this war. He wanted to invade Bakhmut, so Putin told him to "knock himself out". Then he shot himself before being told that it was just an expression.

He was actually in charge of the Directorate to Combat Extremism. By "extremism", Putin means political opposition.

Russian general takes his own life after being sacked by Vladimir Putin

Yeah, I suppose it’s a question of who is trying to Verdun whom. Both sides are trying to make it seem like they’re the smart one, letting the other side run haphazardly into their hurricane of steel over a city their side knows is strategically unimportant but the other side foolishly thinks is crucial. And it’s frankly hard to tell who benefits more from attrition warfare in this instance. One one hand, Russia has more manpower to throw at the problem, and that’s who traditionally benefits from a man-for-man exchange. But on the other, this thing only ends on favorable terms for Ukraine is with political change in Moscow, and Russian casualties are the best (not only) measure of performance for that potential change. Since Ukraine is in an actual battle for national survival (not a pretend one like Russia), it should be far more resilient to casualties than Russia.

Russians admit that the Abrams tank is significantly better than anything they have.

Russia's tanks may face 'disadvantageous conditions' in a battle with US-made Abrams tanks, Russian expert says

Putin to pull Wagner troops out of Ukraine?

Putin 'pulls Russia's notorious Wagner Group troops' from Ukraine (msn.com)

Vladimir Putin is pulling mercenaries from Russia's notorious Wagner Group out of Ukraine over fears from the Kremlin that they are becoming 'too powerful,' reports say. The squad, which consists of 50,000 troops, have been a key part of Russia's horrific invasion of Ukraine - fighting in the east of the war-torn nation. The Russian President reportedly became more concerned about his own position before the demotion of Wagner, founded by Yevgeny Prigozhin - which recruits many convicted criminals - was ordered.

The Bradleys (or 60 of them) have arrived in Germany, and will be taken overland to Ukraine, along with 380 vehicles, after being delivered to Mannheim for training.

440 units of the US military equipment intended for Ukraine spotted in German port

Finally! Iran is now supplying Ukraine with weapons. Not willingly or directly, of course. The U.S. is diverting weapons that were en route from Iran to Yemen over to Ukraine. Just one minor legal issue to take care of.

US plans to supply Ukraine with smuggled Iranian weapons withdrawn from Yemeni militants

My legal interpretation: Iran actually intended to send the ammo to Ukraine, but mis-labeled the address sticker.

Why can’t our people keep silent on this and transfer the weapons covertly?

Oh that’s right. It’s our government.

    Russia’s biggest theft from Ukraine…..

“The Russian government is operating a systematic network of at least 40 child custody centers for thousands of Ukrainian children, a potential war crime, according to a new report………….describes a system of holding facilities that stretch from the Black Sea coast to Siberia.

"This is not one rogue camp, this is not one rogue mayor or governor," says Nathaniel Raymond, executive director of the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab. "It is a massive logistical undertaking that does not happen by accident."

The Yale team says it has verified at least 6,000 Ukrainian children detained by the Russian government, although researchers believe there are thousands more.”

Interesting we have so many of these in inventory, different reports showing between 4500 - 6000 Bradley’s.

And we’ll soon replace it with an Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle(OMFV)….

W knew and warned 0. Obama failed to build a coalition to check Russian when they invaded Crimea and history repeated itself and appeasement failed.

George W. Bush's secret memos to Obama revealed relationship with Russia had 'soured' and Putin had an eye on Ukraine (msn.com)
Newly declassified memos from former President George W. Bush and then-incoming President Barack Obama revealed that while W touted the "soul" of the Russian president, he acknowledged that the relationship had "soured" and they were looking to go after Ukraine.

“Russia attempts to challenge the territorial integrity of Ukraine, particularly in Crimea, which is 59 percent ethnically Russian and is home to the Russian Navy’s Black Sea Fleet, must be prevented,” the memo said.

It went on to say, “Russia will exploit Europe’s dependence on Russian energy” and use political means “to drive wedges between the United States and Europe.”
