Jan 24th hearing to determine if it is to be made public. Hour meters turned on everywhere. I wonder if DT will be able to field a competent legal team to object. Can his PAC pay for a legal challenge to releasing the report?

Should the GJ report be released? Before or after prosecuting decision? The GJ made a recommendation that it be published. They want the information to be public record. Any chance it gets sealed? Lot of state oxes could get gored, and likely should be, but this GJ went beyond just DT phone call.

Grand jury submits final report on Trump's alleged election interference in Georgia (msn.com)

McBurney has set a Jan. 24 hearing to determine whether the report will be made public.

The special grand jury does not have the ability to return an indictment and can only make recommendations concerning criminal prosecution. Another grand jury would bring any possible charges, should they be brought.

    .........................

McBurney said that the special purpose grand jury recommended that it’s final report be published.

The special grand jury – which included 23 jurors and three alternates – was seated in May 2022 with the power to subpoena witnesses.

ordered, again, to pay over $900k in legal fees to Hillary and the gang. I wonder how they will get the PAC to pay for this. Seems that being counsel for DT is an expensive job

Trump, Lawyer Hit With $937,989 Sanctions in Clinton Case (msn.com)

Former President Donald Trump and one of his top lawyers were ordered by a judge to pay a total of almost $1 million in legal fees and costs to Hillary Clinton, her 2016 campaign and more than a dozen political operatives who he alleged ran a vast conspiracy to damage his reputation.

The suit is part of a long pattern of abuse of the courts by Trump and his lawyers and “should never have been brought,” US District Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks said in a ruling Thursday in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“Its inadequacy as a legal claim was evident from the start,” the judge said. “No reasonable lawyer would have filed it. Intended for a political purpose, none of the counts of the amended complaint stated a cognizable legal claim.”

Trump, his lead attorney, Alina Habba, and her law firm were held jointly liable for $937,989. The sanctions were issued on behalf of 18 defendants who submitted a joint motion accusing Trump of knowingly filing a suit with bogus and unbelievable claims to dishonestly advance a political narrative.

The fine against DT and his attorney is jointly assigned. He can refuse to pay and his attorney would be forced with a choice to pay or lose their law license. I suspect DT is having a harder and harder time getting attorneys. Is it just me or has DT crawled back under his rock lately?

more detail. this is absurd. DT personally signed tax statements that valued a building at less than the rent he had received for said building in the previous year. That is tax fraud. Is this routine in NYC? Are there any journalist in NYC that might want to write a story on building valuations to see if it is? Is that why it wasn't prosecuted?

Manhattan DA was 'weeks' away from filing criminal charges against Trump in 2020, when he was still president, former prosecutor says (msn.com)

Investigators wanted to charge Trump for allegedly undervaluing his stake in 40 Wall Street, a building in lower Manhattan. While Trump valued his interest in the building as high as $527 million in a 2012 financial document, he told tax authorities his interest was only worth between $16-$19 million.

"This figure was so low as to be absurd," Pomerantz said, given that the The New York Times reported just months prior that yearly rental income for the building had risen to over $40 million by 2018.

"This meant that he told the tax authorities that the overall value of his interest in 40 Wall Street was less than what he was earning in a single year!" Pomerantz explained.

Prosecutors explained to Pomerantz and other legal experts on a call at the end of 2020 that Trump "had personally signed forms attesting to the accuracy of the absurdly low valuation" and that Trump's tax filings looked fraudulent.

It rather blows up the “accidentally moved boxes around” excuse (which was already stretched in Trumps case). Certainly raises it to an entirely different level.

Limited GJ testimony to be released. There were multiple witnesses that the GJ felt lied to the GJ. This could, and likely should, leave a big imprint across the GA pub machine. Shocked that they doubled down and lied to the GJ.

Witnesses who testified in front of the Georgia grand jury investigating Trump 'may have lied under oath,' judge says

McBurney said three portions of the report would be made public on Thursday, February 16, giving the Fulton County district attorney's office time to discuss redactions. Willis said she does not plan to appeal the judge's order.

The special grand jury was empaneled throughout much of the second half of last year and heard evidence regarding Trump's efforts to pressure Georgia officials to "find" votes that would reverse his loss to now-President Joe Biden in the state. Hearing evidence brought by the office of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, the special grand jury also investigated an effort to send fake electors to Washington, DC, on January 6, 2021, and falsely declare Trump the victor in the state's presidential contest.

MAY HAVE lied under oath? So, now they can "legally" harass him to the ends of the Earth for what the Dems do in Congress almost every day? This purely political theater designed to keep Trump occupied in a courtroom somewhere.

I would love to see the Clintons and the Obamas face that kind of persecution.
