I guess the Gainesville people give a crap about the other sports . Guess they respect being a women’s sport school. There is no talk outside of about sports other than the baseball, football, basketball. The consensus with sports other than Gville is the UF sports are not feared or respected anymore. Makes me ill

You are consistent, I'll say that.

As for Georgia they've made the NCAA like 3 times in the last 20 years, so as down as the Gators are we're still a damn sight better than them. Let me know if/when they make the NCAAs.

 

No doubt we are at a low point for the 2 major sports, I get that.

However, I don't live in Gville, so can't comment on the locals and I don't really care about what you/your friends think. I'm a fan of most all Gator sports, including softball, gymnastics, and baseball. All 3 are preseason top 10. That's something to be happy about in my world.

 

Our guys play too many minutes and they were gassed! Will Richard missed two ft’s late in game, he never has missed both shots when he has two, looked like he was worn out. Let Neil’s Lane get some of his minutes and let his tough defense create opportunities.

I agree. The Florida basketball and football programs currently have lost their luster nationally. Is it the fault of the administration coaches or AD? I haven't a clue. It is what it is. I do know that if it wasn't for the success of most of the women’s programs the Gators would be near the bottom of the SEC sports barrel.

 

Richard had a wide open 14 foot shot that fell 2 feet short near the end. There were other short shots too.

 

Our men’s track & field and tennis are superb. That’s about it...

 

1-2 more years like this one and Stricklin is gone.

 

I disagree. I believe Mr. Stricklin's tenure will be pretty much decided by Coach Napier's success and he is in the middle of a complete re-build.
