The OP isn't being dramatic! I know him very well. The OP is pointing out very directly the point that Desantis and some in this "movement" is spending FLORIDA tax money on his own personal, and wrong, kidnapping of humans simply for his own personal desires. Is the money replacing roads or bridges? Is the money building better schools? Is the money helping to feed the needy elderly? No. So if you think being disgusted watching money (the kind that most of Floridians find hard to earn with the wages here) being used in this manner then maybe you should join in instead of downplaying it.
1. Show me where i downplayed the act? 2. Its all relative. If I started an OP like yours but inserted Planned Parenthoods use of tax money you would think i was being dramatic and not think it was worth me being that upset over But my point... Again... Is we keep getting threads started by folks who act like their pov is some isolated thing, when all I am saying is these things happen all the time. In a way we agree we should have better control of where our money goes, I'm just saying we all have beefs with it and this is nothing new.
Planned Parenthood isn't allowed to use federal funding on abortion services, specifically because people in your camp complained about it. Arguing about how money should be spent isn't some novel idea. It's like half of all politics or more.
He's comparing spending tax dollars on legal things we don't like to spending tax dollars on illegal things we don't like. There is a difference.
1st paragraph has been questioned and there is some uncertainty. (300M in profits when Abortion is their biggest offering?... Sure... They never ise a penny.) 2nd paragraph.. I agree and thats the only point I was trying to make.
Not morally there isnt. The legality of something doesnt equate to yours or my morality. And the legality of PP's fund use has been questioned on more than one occasion.
Wait You live in Florida? I thought you were some expat happy to be living the utopian life style on some island? Maybe I have you mixed up with another poster…
BTW, DeSantis asked the legislature for more money for legal fees. I’m tired of using taxpayer money to fight lawsuits for policies that clearly violate both the state and federal constitutions.
Like all the ATF ruling that have come down lately directly in violation of Bruen? Or do only mean state tax/lawsuits/stupid policies..?
I think so. It was a whole thing. I felt bad for him at the time but now that he’s back and throws his vote away, I’m not so sure anymore.
Oh He was he guy that got wiped out by a hurricane and needed help getting home or something.. is that right?
