Do you think his mom named him ironically?

Shea was a corner back. And Doering was first team all sec so not waiting in the wings. quezzie redshirted while Ike and Reidel playing time increased as the season went on.

I stand corrected. I was shooting from the hip.
Of course, by your own definition Quezzie, with a capital Q, was waiting in the wings.

Shea came as a WR. Moved to CB during or right after his freshman year.

Thank you StrangeGator. Like I said I was shooting from the hip and when I do I often miss. I thought Showers had played WR, but now I recall he was moved early-on to corner.

I wonder if having a former/recent senator as University president in Ben Sasse and having senator Rubio a UF alum and where his son attends help at all in situations like these that go to congress and need votes.
Not saying they would give particularly UF an Advantage but Florida D1 colleges in general. Can't help but think that our apparent disadvantage vs other state schools due to florida NIL laws was streamlined for a repeal by a few connections or am I crazy for thinking that?

Well Quezzie sure wasn’t “waiting in the wings” when he got his leg almost separated from the rest of him in Tempe in Jan 96. That was a full year before 52-20

This dude was an absolute stud. Him and Reggie McGrew, were quite the tandem.

What do you guys/gals think about these 3 permanent rivals in the new format in the SEC.

Not really a fan. Then again I wasn’t a fan of the “pod” proposal at first either but it has grown on me compared to other formats I’ve seen.

    1- UF, UGA, USCjr, KY
    2- Bama, Barn, UT, Vandy
3- Ole Miss, Miss st, LSU, Ark
    4- Tx, A&M, Ok, Mizz

If we went to an 11 game schedule we could just add Auburn the the East Division and play every team in the SEC Conference every other year. This would keep the two divisions that the SEC invented in college football.

With the NIL these kids are more like pros and maybe they can add on more regular season game with a 13 game schedule... but the 12 teem playoffs poo-pooed that 13 game season idea.

But we could still play an 11 all SEC Schedule and keep our East versus West SECCG. That would leave only one game for an OOC team. I would rather we play more SEC games anyway.

11 game schedule to keep our two divisions is worth keeping our traditional rivals and still playing every West Divisions teams every other year. The only bad thing about it, besides playing an 11 all SEC schedule is we would lose our annual game with LSU... we'd play them every other year.

NIL doesn't make them like pros. It allows them to earn an income like every other student on campus does.
If you want to treat them like pros then pay them a salary directly from the university.

Yeah, I know how the NIL is supposed to work. But one extra game was an idea that I shot down. It is a moot point (as I pointed out) if you read my entire post. The NFL remark was me being snarky and unimpressed with the way the NIL is being done by some states/schools.... sarcasm.

Yet we pretend we aren’t paying players and there’s no payroll in college. This is some of the dumbest shit I’ve ever witnessed. How do they even say it with a straight face?

Paid is paid and these semantics are insulting peoples intel or lack there of. There have been professional football players in colleges forever.

Absolutely hate it. Weak like voting for national champions before bowl games were played. Definitely up there with tge worse decisions ever made in the sec.
