to be honest, i thought Dakota Mitchell, Jaelin Humphries, Ja’Markis Weston would of hit the portal by now. When i look at the defections from our classes from 2019 to 2021, it is STAGGERING. The roster has REALLLLY been turned over

I've heard Weston is a great kid/student, Mitchell may be better than we know if healthy, and Humphies I just don't know. Harrod and Simonds are also two bubble guys IMO

And, you can't really say they're necessarily making a bad choice for themselves personally when they do that. Get a free education at the school of their choice with all the bennies when they are probably not the guys who are going to have a shot at the NFL anyway. Sounds like pretty good math to me. Good for them, even if it may not be good for us.

Including Fr. transfers Goodwin, Banks and Jackson, it brings the total to 23 new young high quality players.

Just an excellent job by CBN and the staff building the roster with exceptional young talent.

exactly. Like some of them have had to those talks with themselves as far as “no matter what school i go to, im not an NFL player” so they just decide to make the best of it. Yes transferring to Tennessee Tech and being All Conference is within your ability to do so, but like…the odds of the NFL is still loooooong/non existent unless you are an out of this world talent that just hadnt gotten the chance.

I thought we were still letting players transfer at will and play right away?

It’s the choice of the school to let them out of their loi, looks bad if you don’t release them.

My recollection was Mitchell was a good player both ways and was a very good athlete. I'd like to know his situation. At this level though you get only so long to get your body right and develop or you're permanently recruited over.
