It always feel better when you control your own destiny instead of having to rely on other teams losing.
Yea if we can go 1-1 over the next 2 we are back in conversation. But you also can’t follow that up with home losses to Ole Miss or Vandy. If we go 1-1 then win the next 2 we’d be 9-4 in the SEC.
Everytime his shot goes high in the air, I think “Moon Ball”. How it ever goes in is beyond me. His defense, steals, rebounds and assists were big all night. Jones, Lofton and Richards were tough all night. CC sharing the ball getting his teammates involved is the Key for the Gators. He is always going to get his points and he finished with good results tonight.
Rileys got some moves. Now if the unbelievable acrobatic acts he tries could actually go in the net for points, LOOK OUT!
That was a monstrous 3 to cut the lead to 1 when things were looking bleak. That and Lofton's 3 to go up by 9 were probably the 2 biggest 3's they've hit all season.
I pegged this game as a must win. Now if the Gators can win the rest of their games at home, the Gators will have a winning record in the SEC. Then win a game or possibly 2 in the SECt to get in the tournament, but perhaps the Gators can win out at home and beat either UGA or Vandy on the road to get to 11 wins. 11 wins with a signature win and no bad losses should put them in a really good position. Then win 1 in the SECt and feel really good about they're chances.
We have 2 or 3 guys who don't mind jacking up shots whenever they want. If we could get them to at least acknowledge when it is necessary and when it is silly would go a long ways towards success for this team. I am just glad that Jones looks like he has gotten his yips under control.
Are you kidding? That was Boynton's great talent. He had more 4-point plays than anyone I can remember.
That one got me out of my chair. It's the worst single call of that type I can recall recently. Nevertheless, the worst overall was Chris Jackson racking up about 30 in the second half of a game against the Gators. That was amazing.
I was definitely in agreement with you about Jones..and frankly I would still prefer Bonham get more of his minutes...but it is arguable at this point. Jones' requires much more time to get his shot off than high level shooters. I also have no idea how he shot over 40% from 3 at Penn State. But solid with the ball and on D. Congratulations to him!
