If Florida is ever going to challenge consistently for a conference title and high NCAA seed they will have to hire a big name who has shown consistent winnings seasons. Just look at what LSU has become in 2 seasons.
1:54 they lead by 10...quarter 2 was our down fall..scoring just 2 points and allowing them 14...dug a deep hole..we had some chances when we got it down to 6...
our NIL for womens basketball is very large, much bigger then other SEC teams. Lets see how we use it, we are missing someone who plays with the fire and moxy that Zip and Kiki had. KK, Rickards and Rimdele dont have it.

Just been around and followed for years. Only a handful of schools care about WBB and sadly UF hasn't been one. I think it's going to take changes well above the coaching ranks to fix our problems long term. South Carolina, LSU, Arkansas, etc... it's very doable if a school wants to do it.
I guess what I am trying to say is we really can't be overly critical if we don't know what is actually going on..
We can be when it's been over 20 yrs of ineptitude. It's not rocket science. It's just caring about the sport or not.
We have almost doubled the budget, we are right up there now..we went with a very young coach, we are going to have growing pains. It is what it is, we didnt wait and be patient. We will return most of the team, get a very good pg available. Maybe Zippy and have a great recruit coming in. I am as disappointed as anyone, but I think this team was really going to be built around Zippys leadership this year.
If that is what you want to call success sure.... that shouldn't be success at UF though. No Sweet 16s... no conference titles... it's been probably our worst sport for 2 decades needlessly IMO.
Well..I don't consider it being 20 years of ineptitude, to me that is being overly critical..not what I want of course..but we have small successes..and I believe if given time and some patience, we can improve and have a bright future
Lets get real. Kelly needs to be thanked for righting a sinking ship. But with her we will be a bottom feeder. Our AD is from MISS State all he knows is average. He has not had too much successful in hiring people
