AUBURN, Ala. – Florida women's basketball will hit the road on Monday evening for a 7 p.m. ET matchup with Auburn in Neville Arena. The game will air live SEC Network with Brenda VanLengen and Steffi Sorenson on the call, while Kyle Crooks and Brittany Davis will handle radio responsibilities on 98.1FM/850AM WRUF.

    THE SERIES
The Gators and Tigers meet for the 64th time on Monday evening, with Auburn holding a 37-26 advantage. Last season, the Gators pulled-off a season sweep, including an exciting 68-63 victory at home where they trailed with a minute to go.

    LAST TIME OUT
The Gators got back in the win column with a 73-55 performance over Vanderbilt on Jan. 22. Four Gators scored in double-figures, led by Nina Rickards with 15 points while Faith Dut pulled-down a career-best 10 rebounds on the glass. Florida held the Commodores to just 19-of-68 (27.9%) shooting en route to the victory, which featured the return of Jordyn Merritt for the Gators.

    A LOOK BACK
Last season, the Gators swept the season series over Auburn, picking up close wins at home and on the road. In Gainesville, Kiara Smith led the Orange & Blue to a 68-63 win, despite trailing in the final minute, with 19 points, three rebounds and three assists. At Auburn, Florida earned an 83-77 victory, led by Zippy Broughton with 18 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals.

    WORKING ON THE BOARDS
Against Vanderbilt on Jan. 22, Florida had four players record at least six rebounds, led by Faith Dut's career-best 10. Their effort on Sunday marked the second time this season that four Gators have recorded at least six rebounds in the same game, which is the first time since the 2020-21 season that the Orange & Blue have had multiple games with the feat.

    RAINING THREES
KK Deans and Alberte Rimdal have combined for 75 triples this season, the fourth-most by a duo in the SEC currently, trailing only Marnelle Barraud and Ryanne Allen of Vanderbilt (83) and Chrissy Carr and Makayla Daniels/Samara Spencer of Arkansas (93). Deans is closing in on the top-15 for triples made in a single season at UF as she currently has made 46, needing nine more to break into the record book. Rimdal is also looking at one of the best seasons for a sophomore, needing 49 total threes to mark the fifth-best output by a sophomore and she has currently knocked-down 29.

    FROM LONG RANGE
KK Deans is one of the best three-point shooters in the nation this season, having connected on 46 which is the fifth-most in the SEC and 77th-most in the NCAA. Her percentage remains high as well, shooting at a clip of 39.3%, good for third in the conference and 66th in the country. She makes an average of 2.30 per game, fourth in the SEC.

    TO THE LINE
Florida women's basketball is elite when it comes to getting to the free throw line, knocking down 15.70 per game which is fourth in the SEC and 19th in the nation. They average 22.10 attempts per game, sitting at fourth in the conference and 20th nationally.

    NET UPDATE
After defeating Vanderbilt on Jan. 22, Florida remained at 84th in the NET rankings, but now sit at 86th. All 14 SEC schools sit within the top 128, while South Carolina and LSU sit at first and third, respectively.

    60: THE MAGIC NUMBER
Under the leadership of Kelly Rae Finley, Florida's defense will always be a point of emphasis. Helping to prove that point, the Gators own a perfect 22-0 mark under Finely when holding opponents to 60 points or less.

These extended dry spells on offense have killed us all year. The offense is regressing. We have to try something different.

Bumped her with the shoulder . . . not even as hard as she has been hit inside with no call(s) . . . and now the announcers are lobbying for a flagrant foul in hindsight. I have to say I'm sick of the announcers Florida seems to get assigned.

Meanwhile, Bertie was TACKLED earlier to cause a "loose ball," the Auburn girl climbed over her back to knock it away and the Auburn player dove into a Florida players legs to "recover" the loose ball. So foul rules out-the-window for loose balls and you can't even bump a player if they're wearing a white uniform?!

Well I didn't. If the refs are going to allow an overly-physical game, like they are, that was a no call IMO.
