They wanted him gone that bad, he’s terrible. They tried to let him find a new gig first, but there were no takers. Now they’ll likely spend some $$$ to bring a better OC in. They made a big run at Joe Brady last year, still don’t think he’ll go there now, thank goodness.

DM should join Bama to learn the art of recruiting from the Master. Maybe he will be ready for a HC job someday.

 

I still think DM’s biggest issue regarding recruiting is that he just doesn’t like it. He was in Meyer’s staff, and if you can’t learn a thing or 2 about recruiting from Meyer, then shame on you.

 

He will always be a mediocre recruiter but he’ll have some success somewhere as a HC. Outside of 15 months at UF, his resume is pretty impressive. But I don’t know if his ego could handle being on Saban’s staff. Then again …Saban picked up Butch Jones, who was an awful coach and even worse human being.

 

There is no art to recruiting at Alabama...Every coach that coaches there beats the brakes off it in recruiting regardless of their previous abilities. Wonder why that is?
