Embarrassing would be if I tried to go out there and play lol
But what I find more embarrassing than players trying to do the best they can tonight ( evidently not a good night for them) is some of the fans..

 

Common theme in the bigger games is that each player tries to do too much individually. The dribbling goes up, the passing goes down. No ball movement, no cutting. Stand around and watch one guy throw up a low percentage shot. The coaching staff needs to learn how to prepare players mentally for the games that get more attention. It has seemed like Golden is learning on the job a bit this year, and that’s something that continues to be lacking. Get your guys to play as a team when the lights shine the brightest.

 

Exactly - I don’t understand the harping on “analytics “
It’s just another tool to try to make informed personnel decisions, but its just an adjunct to the fundamentals:
Defense, rebounding ,shooting, passing, ball/ player movement , team chemistry…………….

 

Pretty sure it was another shot at Coach Golden. That poster has been hyper-critical of him since December I think. Never seemed to come around when Florida was on a winning streak and playing a lot better though. Now shows up tonight.

 

10th opponent Florida defense has held under 40%. Held the #5 team to 38%. The defense is there. The kids just need to find some consistent offense.

We don’t have one mean person on the team or in the coaching staff. someone like Udonis Haslem, Don’t bring that ball in here again, if they do, they pay. we let them drive the basket and have easy inside scores. We need muscular bigs, pg’s that can score inside and out. I ,,want passion and focus to win. Our first half everybody did their best by themselves, no team ball and timid. That has led to all our our losses. of course the refs were one sided, so again you have to have mean bigs. Colin was pedestrian. I don’t get to recruit, but one thing I could find was tough players under the basket. additionally I would find a pg who could score from anywhere. embarrassed on National TV, be proud, this wasn’t a tough Florida team. We were watching film today, someone told the players at half we were down by twenty one points, they just laughed and said, Naw. That is the problem. We need someone like Steve Austin to slap the tar out of each and every player before we tip the ball, make them mad and aggressive. This is what we don’t recruit at Florida.
this was CMW ball to a tee in the first half. as a fan, this game shows me CTG isn’t tough enough to get it out of them, sad!

If that is what it takes to get someone to get inside close to the basket before launching I’ll advised threes, yea this team needs to be rattled. every time we go go out timid and instead of driving the ball and getting inside, we step way outside and launch another Miss. Of course the other team basks in their glee and fast breaks us down and makes us look like we don’t know what we are doing. We, when we are focused and determined, can beat Alabama on the road. But if we try the happy feelings tour in the first half, we are doomed.

What some fail to realize: if we had a consistent outside shooter CC would be a POY candidate in the sec. Consistent outside shooting would would not allow teams to run 2-3 guys at Colin consistently.
