    1. I don’t think I’m overstating anything in regards to the policing policy/techniques of those departments I mentioned.
    2. Your example is nothing close to comparable. You’re obviously still dealing with some issues surrounding Covid policy. That’s a completely different thread.

I really have not paid close attention to this case. But from the little I have seen…this is a really good profile of a likely scenario. Again. No justification for the actions. Also no justification. But seeing one of the cops at the traffic stop location pouring water over and over in his eyes had me wondering if he took pepper spray in his eye. Or something like that. He was clearly irritated with his eye. And again no justification for later actions. In fact a definition of someone not capable of handling the stress necessary to be in that position if the reason…but did that cause him to overreact. And I don’t know if that particular officer was one of the ones at the scene of the unacceptable event.

    Agree with this assessment.

How about a little credit to the folks of Memphis. Making their voices heard peacefully. I think this will kick off a lot of much needed attention on how we fix the problem of bad cops and bad policing.

One reasonable first step? End qualified immunity.

You are clearly are not able to rationalize things when it comes to police. I know multiple officers. One has a side lawn business that does the lawn care for our business. They hate this happened. Because unfortunately some cannot rationalize that a very very small group can make a very very large group look bad. And unfortunately imply the idea that most cops are just looking to cause problems.

    Another stupid response.

Funny that some are so obsessed with someone they can’t engage in thought.

    Sad!

Correct. I made reference to my personal experience with two specific LE entities, and my opinion of their specific departments’ policing policies/techniques. That’s what you’re responding to. No reference to “most” LEO, in general.

I haven't seen coverage of the reaction, but if true, right on. The embodiment of The Bill of Rights.

    And absolutely end qualified immunity.

You flat accuse the policies of police to pull you over just because. Then you accuse most of the rest to ignore bad policing. That is the basic post you made.

All I did was saying was not the norm as you implied in your post. But if you want to dig in. Go for it. You might want to reread what you wrote.

And I am in agreement to a point. Just not the idea that most law enforcement are looking for you…

I have represented people beaten by cops, cops and police departments. Not in a long time.
90% of the problems are caused by a small number of officers and the good officers know who they are.

They depend on that revenue to get paid. And they know who is local and who isn’t in those small towns. But that is not what the Memphis murder was about
