Well then our defense is going to have to go through a major transformation in the offseason. Our D has been horrible for the past 3 years.
Crazy that the comment section in that article about Ole Miss turned into an entire roast of Mertz and Florida. Wtf
I don’t venture over there often. Too many crayon eaters in that bunch. It’s hard to defend Gator Nation with so many message boards full of tools with Gator emblem’s attached to their name saying stupid things.
Are you basing that opinion on game winning proof, or statistical data? Do any of our QBs have that type of backing?
I totally agree with what you said here. I only speak for myself when I say that not all the negativity is whiny, and not without merit. However there are some people here that think that if we do NOT get the statistically best QB available that BN failed, not me, I believe in Napier. I also think that we might get one more experienced QB before we play our first game in the 2023 football season.
It wasn't "my" opinion so much as the staff. But we have 2 highly recruited guys that have the physical tools....one has a ton of big time experience albeit in a questionable system and one has limtied playing time but been in college long enough to be ready. I find it difficult to believe those aren't viable options. Certainly remains to be seen hw either works out....but that was going to be true of almost anyone
I still find it quite surprising that Howard would choose Ole Miss given that they already have 2 proven starters on board. Maybe Dart transfers after spring, but Howard is still #2 at that point. I cant see Howard beating out Sanders. I guess he is playing the long game, but that seems rather risky in the current NIL/portal environment. Kiffin has proven that he will continue to recruit QBs.
To me Sanders is the real head scratcher.....why on earth risk your career on beating out an incumbent and a young hotshot
