We are all partisan a certain amount. Some toe the line and some don’t. Tilly didn’t vote for Trump btw.

Reading the reactions from our liberals is hilarious. No one will play the game. Looks like Tilly hit a nerve. Lol

What are y’all afraid of? Tilly doesn’t bite. Lol

I'd be happy to do this if you could name some right wing policies that the GOP actively supports currently. Unfortunately right now, all they are talking about is saving gas stoves and destroying the full faith and credit of the USA and I can't get behind either of those.

And this is why most self-interested politicians aren't going to take on Trump. Because they know you will vote for them even if they endorse Trump, even pretty embarrassingly so, whereas the Trump people won't necessarily do the same.

    Whatever man.
Regardless, her point was a mile off. To call me more partisan than many here is just a lazy shot with no back up.

It's odd to say people wont take on Trump when it seems clear DeSantis intends to.

    1. No Joke, those are my positions. Why is agreeing with stuff on your side some sort of a joke to you?
    2. I don't "hold" myself up as anything. It was actually conservatives here who started going after my positions, then liberals started calling me "fair and moderate" than those cons left and some of those same libs needed new targets, so even moderates became your target.

I have always called myself a moderate conservative. I have never claimed to never be "partisan'. But to call me MORE partisan is just bullcrap.

I don't own it like you do, because I am not like you. I actually am willing on many occasions to disagree with my own side and point out values on the other side. I've sat out elections, called out the right on many Covid positions, andlisted many things like the ones above. There is no candidate that fits my liking for the most part.

It's not enough for us to find middle ground with them. It's all of nothing. You agree with the left on every...single...issue, or you are a right wing, racist, woman hating, bigot who didn't get an education. That is literally how some of them think and they make it clear here. Not all by any means, but certainly some.

It is elitism at its finest. Yet they don't even realize they are exactly what they claim to hate. They act in a similar way to the extremists on the right side here who cant ever see anything outside of red.

A term limited Governor who really, really wants to be President (and even he is tip-toeing around Trump, the only issue he has strongly differentiated himself from Trump on is that he is becoming a strong Anti-Vaxxer and even that is implied rather than explicit in taking him on).

Now how many House members do you think will take him on and run in less than 2 years for their seat? How about a self-interested politician that just wants to move up to the Senate? Yeah, they will stay back and support Trump if necessary and they know people like you will back them anyways (utilizing any excuse possible to explain why you are voting for all sorts of Trump supporters). So they don't really care that you don't like Trump in this assessment. What they care about is that Trump can nuke them in a Primary.

Who did you vote for for governor in NC in the 2020 election?

Dan Forest...but you already know the answer and again... no perfect candidate. I make no denials or bones about the fact that I will vote pro life if the option exists. That changes nothing about my agreement with the left on several issues. As stated many times, I have voted blue many times in state and local elections when abortion wasn't a factor.

I also supported his plan to reopen schools which Cooper was very slow to do and seemed to just hold his finger to the wind as the pandemic continued. (I thought Cooper handled the beginning of the pandemic well.)

Candidate choice matters. Herschel, Dr Oz, Santos, … all serve to weaken the Republican Party. The party needs to self correct when identifying candidates of high character capable of winning elections. They can’t move a candidate to a State on paper simply to run for Senator. People see right through that.

And who did you vote for for senate in 2022, Budd or Beasley? And in 2020 was it Tillis or Cunningham? And I assume your representative is David Rouzer. Did you vote for him or the Democrat in 2022?

I don't think that was me but thanks for conceding that your argument is pointless.

It wasnt you. And my argument was 100% accurate. I can at least put a list of things I part with the right about. She wont do the same, yet accuses me of being more partisan.

It's a simple exercise. Anyone is invited to join.

It's not though because the right has no policy platform currently. It's just "own da libs" 24/7.

I'll assume your lack of response to post #92 means you voted for the Repub in all of those elections. When was the last time you voted for a Dem for any high level office? Did you at least vote for Obama?

No written platform? I agree. And its silly.
But they do have some long held principles.

It wouldnt matter though. Some are so dug in they would never admit the other side is right.

Who said I voted for a dem at a high level recently? Me not being moderate enough for the ultra left isnt gonna keep me up at night my friend.

Little known fact about '22. I sat it out ...completely. I did not vote for Rouzer. Not a fan.

So Roy Cooper, Cheri Beasley, Cal Cunningham, Joe Biden, Obama, et al are all 'ultra left'? You're not making a very convincing case for yourself.

And I'm just pointing out that based on your voting record, you are very partisan. You can't point to an election where you voted for a Democrat. Actions, not words on a message board, are what matter.

Okay you pointed it out. Now do the exercise rather than dodging it.
