Just got back from Gainesville. Can't believe how many restaurants have come to Gainesville since I lived there. How do football players complain about selection now? We had nothing as recent as the late 90s. 13th and university is unrecognizable. Same with 34th and archer. At least my house on SW 3rd Ave was still there

Didn’t go to many baseball games.

 

I pitched there 74/75.

 

I was there from 66-75. I remember the old gym.

 

I had a roommate that worked on the chicken side of Krystal. We ate a lot of chicken in those days

. There’s a debate on campus now because library west isn’t open 24 hours. Students want it to be, the admin won’t fund it.

 

Well thats a bummer! Man there was a many a night I would be there late and mostly alone. Could get a bit spooky. LOL

 

I remember when Ricky's Raw bar was on 13th street after it moved from the golf course. I never went when it was at the golf course. Right before my time.

Yep, that was it. My Friday routine was hit Stacks for Happy Hour, then cross the street after for a to-go order of Wings & steamed oysters.

They had the best wings, but when you left there you smelled like the place.

 

Right next door to Ricky's. Went there a couple of times, but man they had some rough looking women.
