GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida women's basketball will return home on Sunday afternoon to host their 'We Back Pat' game in a matchup against Vanderbilt.

The game will air live on SEC Network+ at 2 p.m. ET with Kyle Crooks and Brittany Davis on the call, while Tom Collett and Kelly Davis will handle radio responsibilities on 98.1FM/850AM WRUF.

    THE SERIES
The Gators and Commodores meet for the 61st time on Sunday, with Vanderbilt holding a 34-26 advantage. Vanderbilt held on for a close win last season, defeating the Gators 63-59 on Feb. 24, 2022 in Nashville.

    WE BACK PAT
The 12th annual "We Back Pat" Week, a week-long initiative focused on bringing awareness and recognition to the Pat Summitt Foundation, a fund of East Tennessee Foundation, and its fight against Alzheimer's disease is set for Jan.19-26. SEC member institutions will support The Pat Summitt Foundation during their home basketball games. During the women's games slated for the week, various efforts will be made to increase awareness of The Pat Summitt Foundation.

    AT THE GAME
Sunday's game will feature Sundae Sunday, with the first 200 fans in attendance receiving free ice cream. Postgame layups sponsored by Meldon Law will take place after the game, and, for the rest of SEC play, all fans 18 and younger can attend for free. The Gators will also welcome back 28 former women's basketball players as a part of alumnae weekend.

    A LOOK BACK
Last season, Vanderbilt upset the No. 15/21 Gators in Nashville, 63-59. Kiara Smith led the Gators with 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists in a game that Florida's defense held the Commodores to just 2-of-11 (18.2%) shooting from deep. A key factor in last season's battle, Florida turned the ball over 28 times leading to a 28-15 Commodore advantage in points off of turnovers. The Gators' defense was no slouch, however, forcing Vandy into 21 turnovers with 14 steals, led by Smith with six.

    RAINING THREES
KK Deans and Alberte Rimdal have combined for 73 triples this season, the fourth-most by a duo in the SEC currently, trailing only Marnelle Barraud and Ryanne Allen of Vanderbilt (80) and Chrissy Carr and Makayla Daniels/Samara Spencer of Arkansas (86). Deans is closing in on the top-15 for triples made in a single season at UF as she currently has made 46, needing nine more to break into the record book. Rimdal is also looking at one of the best seasons for a sophomore, needing 49 total threes to mark the fifth-best output by a sophomore and she has currently knocked-down 27.

    FROM LONG RANGE
KK Deans is one of the best three-point shooters in the nation this season, having connected on 46 which is the third-most in the SEC and 41st-most in the NCAA. Her percentage remains high as well, shooting at a clip of 40.7%, good for third in the conference and 52nd in the country. She makes an average of 2.42 per game, third in the SEC.

    TO THE LINE
Florida women's basketball is elite when it comes to getting to the free throw line, knocking down 15.95 per game which is third in the SEC and 14th in the nation. They average 22.58 attempts per game, sitting at fourth in the conference and 15th nationally.

    NET UPDATE
After falling to Tennessee on Jan. 19, Florida moved to 84th in the NET rankings, which is where they remain. All 14 SEC schools sit within the top 135, while South Carolina and LSU sit at first and third, respectively.

    60: THE MAGIC NUMBER
Under the leadership of Kelly Rae Finley, Florida's defense will always be a point of emphasis. Helping to prove that point, the Gators own a perfect 21-0 mark under Finely when holding opponents to 60 points or less.

    LAST TIME OUT
The Gators dropped a road contest at Tennessee on Thursday, 74-56. Ra Shaya Kyle recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds while KK Deans added 13 of her own. The Gators held UT to 4-of-21 shooting from three-point range for the game.

I'll probably miss the first half but maybe MCB51 can make it to chat with everyone.

This is almost a must-win game for our Lady Gators.

Merritt looks pretty good in early minutes. Needless to say the team immediately becomes much better with her at the 4 compared to the lineups with Dut/Wyche there.

I've only caught a bit of it. We looked good in what I did see. That hasn't been the problem though... we have to sustain it. That's what I want to see. Hopefully I'll get to see the whole 2nd Half.
