Jones had all five assists in the first half. Glad to see Lofton get six. Until today, he has been averaging only 3 per game while logging just over 30 mpg and doing much of the ball handling
Brutal schedule left with 12 games. Eleven SEC games, six home games with 6 road games. Hope we can pull out all of our home games but it's gonna be tough sledding.
KR seems to be pressing . . . trying to make something happen . . . for some reason. He would do a lot better settling in and letting the game slow down for him. Maybe he's hung-up on points. He can help other ways. Very talented and more than he is showing with rushed shots and bad shots early in the shot clock. His defense seems stronger right now but he did hit a big 3 late in the game. I think he'll find his groove soon.
You mean they have been through a stretch like we are heading into. LOL We have played some tough teams. UConn, Texas A&M, Xavier, Auburn, West Virginia, Oklahoma, and the stretch we are heading into is brutal! so to sum it up, I don’t feel sorry for them.
After struggling all last season, and most of this, Myreon Jones is playing some high-level ball now. I feel much better with him on the floor than Bonham. Not to say that Trey can't turn it around. He's got quickness and skills, he's just not keeping them under control.
Of course he was. Both times I’ve posted after a game that he’s been a liability, he went out and had a really good game. So for the record, let me say right now that he stinks!
KR moves really quickly and athletically, but has no sense of the game. He tries on defense but overplays and gets out of position. Then I watched him on offense with a back cut open and he just stopped. Classic case of a player who out athleted everyone until he met similar athletes in college. Needs to up his basketball IQ or college will be his nadir - and he has NBA athleticism. Will be interesting to see if he can learn it (capable and open to coaching).
Kugel gets a little bit better with each outing. Nice trajectory and high ceiling for that guy. I think Reeves is stuck because he doesn't see his shots falling and is pushing to make it happen, rather than focusing on the things he does best and trying to make his teammates better. I don't mind him taking open 3s at the right time, but he almost invariably fires it the first moment in the game he touches it, covered or not, early in the clock or not. You're setting yourself up for failure.
Ugly, but any road win right now, is, well, a win Thoughts We cam out fast, who knew, well done! Out of bounds plays… Half court O got way sloppy to nonexistent Kuegel insane 3 Baby steps towards a complete game
