You have kids loyal to a different coach or program not buying in. Can be a distraction to a team. Can’t have a revolving door if coaches. Need a QB that can start for 2 years in our system. Many programs have transfers after coaching changes. FSU has had more transfers out than UF and the transfers in helped turn around their season last year. NIL has changed things and now need to figure out how to compete here, especially with the negative stain on reputation from Rashada fiasco.
I brought this up in another response - it was something that AR mentioned, concerning his hamstring. He said with Mullet, he never had to run sprints and that may have contributed to pulling it in a game. Maybe these kids don't want to do the extra little things that will help the team win. Combine that with CBN making a film for every O-Lineman on their 2021 penalties. I bet that didn't sit well.
Usually the ones that know they are getting passed over on the depth chart and can start elsewhere. Tarquin didn't fit our more run oriented offense. He will start at USC. I would like to know what is going on in White's head.
Couldn’t agree more. Kid is good and has a very bright future on Sunday. OL could be filthy if he returns.
Off topic (sort of), but that is too bad on Waites. This will slow his development, and truth be told, he is far from the finished product. He needed this year for maturation and learning his craft.
Starters that lose their job leave all the time. Not sure why White is leaving other than the fact he has been here for 4 years and just wants to experience something else.
No surprise. USCw poached 2 starting OL from UF, Boselli likely helped facilitate it. He was not keen on the new staff, especially the OL coach. The Pac-12 is not known to be a DL league either, just the opposite. Plus they’ll be primarily pass blocked, not run blocking, which they didn’t like to do.
Reports out there now that he will not be transferring to USC. No reports that I’ve seen mention what he is going to do now.
Never saw that. He’s always been a hard worker and got his weight down enough to be a big contributor.
I never saw anything where Ethan was a problem. What would he have to be humble about? I thought he played pretty well and earned his spot the old fashioned way….just worked hard. I selfishly wanted him to return, but it’s probably best he continues his plan to transfer. Just a fresh start for both he & the staff.
