Sadly, I think SS has hired another dud for the women's BB program

hate to say this, but it might be a rush to judgement hire based off of a half season bump, just my opinion, although they have had injuries,who knows.

 

I think given the circumstances and having the run they did made it hard not to hire her. I think the mistake was not hiring a proven coach prior to the season. There was plenty of time after the dismissal of Cam. It didn't have to be a current coach. Plank would have been a very good hire for the HC position. There has been a noticeable difference in coaching this season vs last. Injuries do play some role, but virtually every team in WBB deals with the same problem and we have talent.... just not sure we are utilizing it properly. Regardless this is Kelly's team for a good 3-4 years, and she still has a chance to turn it around. Next season we could potentially be a very veteran and talented team, but the way we have recruited means we could basically be starting over the following season for Year 4. Not exactly the roster management I'd like to see.... I think/hope we will see a few girls NOT use the Covid year and hit the portal this off season for some underclass transfers. Think we need 3.

 

I think it is a little too early to come to that conclusion, this is really her first year and she has had several players injured ..she hasn't had her best players available at times...we need to give her and our players time..
