Don't look at me. It is what it is. And this is just the way its going to be going forward. It SHOULD be the other way around, but "Sadly" it's not.
Last I heard he will focus on sports other than football. Young guy seems to be pretty social media savvy
So he is alum, that's great. His resume is fairly non-existent. Lived in a van and traveled to like 80 games last year, that's cool. Hate to be cynical but we've been burned way too often.
He did some NIL consulting, so he has some experience already. Who's to say it's a bad hire though... isn't this an entirely new career path?
According to Nick de la Torre he did more than just live in a van and travel to 80 games. He’s a UF grad, went to a top 20 law school, passed the bar exam and worked for a company where he gained intimate knowledge of the NIL space.
With so many brainiacs, why is this organization so reactionary? This school has such a pool of alum, etc and can’t look ahead at all. Ever.
Fair enough. What deals has he done in and outside of NIL? What are his qualifications? Graduated in what, 2018 (Law School)? Traveled in a van. The resume is thin. Whatever, hope it works out. Just seems so randomly random.
Again....what is his proposed role at UF? People seem to be acting like he is the new AD, it's a minor support role, not a big deal
Why don't some of you naysayers give it a break?I'd like to see your thoughts...have you ever solved a major problem? The NIL and transfer portal are new and collectively have come close to destrying college football.
Then why all of the fanfare? Do people post on Instagram that they are proud to announce they have accepted the position of receptionist? He's a nobody. You hire someone with chops for this. Not some kid who broke down in tears at a fast food place while chasing games. Bad hire
Why tell the naysayers to give it a break, only to ask them for their thoughts? I’m not a naysayer, but It starts with Root cause analysis, where a Gamba walk is first required, so to understand the process/es, and then use the tools to determine the root cause of problem/s. In case you need to solve a major problem someday. Pareto Chart The 5 Whys Fishbone Diagram Scatter Diagram
Probably my biggest complaint about the UF athletic administration for the last 15 years....always 2 steps behind the leaders in the field.
