This is going around on Twitter. For those that forgot Brewster was our Tight Ends coach the last two seasons under Mullen. Obviously that meant he was Kyle Pitts' position coach during his breakout season. He was once head coach at U Minnesota and also coached in the NFL a few years. He's now at Colorado with Sanders.

Lots of people, both random computer cowboys and real football people, saying this is demeaning or dictatorial. I'm a pretty firm anti-authority personality and this all just seems pretty hokey and tame to me and generally just what I would expect for college football. In my limited exposure to Brewster on Twitter when he was with us, he seemed like a good guy who genuinely cares.

    Meh. Standard football jargon.

Those complaining are the standard "I'm offended" crowd. Thin skinned, weak and easily have their feelings hurt.

Stuff like this happens in most football locker rooms in America. If a player is offended by his tone they're more than welcome to hit the portal.

Yeah, I agree. Their heads would explode when they got to S&C and their first drills then. LOL!

It just seemed hokey to me. For the cameras. The TE coach?

Yes normally this would be a non-story if it were just some random weenies but I posted since there are supposedly real football people condemning it.

Don't know how good a coach Brewster is, but he is allegedly an ace recruiter. I know we were high on him when he came to UF.

It seems Deion is all in on recruiting.

And by coincidence, I read somewhere that that kid Arik Gilbert is going to Colorado.

Does the bag/nil contract get worked out before the recruiter visits? I could recruit fairly well with a previously signed contract.

Nobody on this planet merchandises and markets their own self any better than Deion Sanders.
He will always have a buzz and glitter around him and will always be able to recruit young people to whatever college or university he’s coaching at.
That being said, I think he will flame out before he has time to ever win a championship of any kind. He won’t be able to win without very good game managers for coordinators and with his ego I will be surprised if he can keep high quality coaches very long.

Give Colorado credit, with the "Coach Prime" hire there is buzz around that program, and there really hasn't been any buzz around CU in 30 years.

Army here. But I would have to agree. That's pretty tame stuff actually compared to what military/veterans have been through.

Deion Sanders has been a fixture in American football for over 3 decades now, and everyone knows exactly what he's about. If coaches on his staff are moving on I think it will be because his team is successful and those coaches are getting poached by other teams, not because of his ego. He says his goal is to be the first African American coach to win a national championship, I don't see him flaming out until that goal is met.
