    You always have to go after the most critical need first. That would be the the quarterback on offense and defense. To my knowledge, the remaining quarterbacks, Sam Huard #2 and Spencer Sanders #4 (per 247) are in the Portal.

    I'm going to say, so far, the Gators have put their money on losing hands with QB and LB. I'm not jazzed by the current roster! It's time that changed! We are the University of Florida, and we can get better players!!!

    You make an excellent point in that QB and LB, especially MLB are key to championship teams.

    Look at our NC teams:

    96- Wuerffel/Bates

    06- Leak/Siler

    08- Tebow/Spikes

    Pretty good QB/MLB combination. And before anyone diminishes James Bates, rewatch some of those games and you will see how he was always around the ball, had good instincts, and tackled hard.

    Need to find those combinations again.

    With or without Rashada we should have been in the market for a top tier transfer QB. It is what it is now.

    It is what it is. Next year was going to be a toss up anyway. There was no way JR was just going to step in and take us to the next level immediately. I think mertz/miller will be ok. I don’t think miller gets a fair shake either. He played 0 live reps and then had to step in for a bowl game. I call that performance a wash. I am an optimistic Gator. Hoping for better days ahead. Go Gators!

    Although I don't know much about the linebackers we have gotten in the Portalet, it's obvious that neither were starters. I'm still hoping we can get another linebacker comparable or better than Ventrell Miller.

    another option would be to get Lagway to reclassify and come on board in the summer so I have been told

    I know you can't predict stuff, but how does the Stokes and Rashada situation happen, in the same damn year? This is ridiculous.

    i’d rather not tbh. That would throw one helluva monkey wrench in recruiting for 2024 cause we’re kinda behind the 8ball already if he were to reclassify which probably wouldn’t be known until the summer if he’d be able to do that. By then, most of the top QB’s would be locked up
