This is fairly telling, imho. Why did Ruiz sign a confidentiality agreement in this case? The only logical reason I can think of is, he had a signed contract with JR that was then dumped, canceled or bought out. This was done so JR could move on to the supposed bigger contract with the UF aligned 3rd party. They so want to keep it all top-secret. Everything about this smells.

He can now turn around and sign with Miami, if they still want him, but something tells me that won’t happen. Why is that?

Agree Bobby, so much youth and one of the highest Power 5 roster turnovers suggest to me that another rough ride is in store.

I'm all in with coach Billy though. Tear this thing apart and re-build it. Just hope the fan base will let this thing ride into year 3. Billy needs to show real progress in his 3rd year or he will have one of the warmest seats in college football.

Gator Nation is not very forgiving nor patient.

It's all weird and all the Miami connections with those that must be named is odd. A big competitor in recruiting has connections to one of your teams NIL affiliates. That's stinky.

If there's a signed contract dated before early signing day for Rashada and NIL representatives from either UF or Miami isn't that illegal? My guess is Rashada may have signed the deal early but the contract wasn't dated until after early signing day

As long as the contract doesn't specifically say he must attend a certain university. No it wouldn't be illegal to sign. It would just be a service/representative contract.

Just seems like he’s getting some bad advice from those in his corner. Regardless of who’s at fault here, going down the path they’re on is a risk to this kid’s future. He is damaged goods in the eyes of many programs already, I’m sure.

I am not going to speculate. Whats the use?
I have tried to not be to severe towards JR due to lack of information.

I will say I have concerns about this: He plays UF and Miami against each other, chooses Miami then decommits and chooses UF.

My personal opinion is that one could give JR a "pass" for the above / one change of mind or decision - "ok", but I put my finger on the EJECT button for any further "change of mind / venue" posturing by a recruit or his handlers.

Comani McClain - Just curious if anyone (UF wise) would still "take" or want him considering he and his handlers actions?

Speaking for myself if the phone receptionist buzzes and says:
"Call from Cormani coach" I say, "take a message".

I would not touch that kid now with a 10' pole.

Agreed, Whatever school he ends up signing with will now have that stigma. Its actually associated with this kid's name for the remainder of his career, unless he turns into the next Joe Burrow and everyone just forgets his past.

Fan criticism will probably entirely be based on money and whether he is worth the "price paid."

Just like Cormani McClain was bypassed by the Bama's of the world because of the drama, many other schools don't want that attention either.

Only decent players from all classes still on the team:

    2019:

    Keon Zipperer (TE)

    2020:

    Derek Wingo (LB)
    Xzavier Henderson (WR)
    Princely Umanmielen (DE)
    Jeremy Crawshaw (P)

    2021:

    Jason Marshall (CB)
    Scooby Williams (LB)
    Tyreak Sapp (DL)
    Desmond Watson (DL)

That is what Mullen left for Napier for 2023. That's IT

    NINE PLAYERS!

Napier's classes since 2022 are almost exclusively driving the team and they are freshmen, or high school players, right now.

12.5% is 1 out of 8, there are 9, so that's 11.1% and Ronald Powell being the #1 recruit, but played like a middle road 4*, not really much of a success story.

who is Eddie (from Ruiz twitter post)?

And that is pretty close to what happened, from what I understand, in the case of Cormani.
