    Yes, Consistency...

The guy that runs this website (believe his name is Neil) is an idiot. He had several other of these yesterday too. He gives UF fans a bad name makes us appear to be a bunch of spoiled children. JR actually looks like the adult here. I apologize for ever bringing any of his posts/reports over here before, it won’t happen again.

I totally agree with that in theory....but unfortunately for the most part of the season AR wasn't a willing runner and didn't create that space. He was still a threat with broken plays where he made something from nothing, but by and large he wasn't a part of the base running game.....which certainly drove me crazy thru the season watching him not make the read and keep the ball around the edge. We saw that possibility at times, the long run vs TAMU showed what was possible. But sadly those were few and far between.

First thing I thought as well when I read that. To be fair though a consistent passer can also create running lanes. I never imagined AR would struggle as badly as he did with the short to intermediate passing game. Anything to keep a defense off balance is what's needed.

that RB room at some point may get weird. I’m going off the assumption that if injury free and their production stays the same, Trell leaves after 2023 and Etienne leaves after the 2024 season so at some point, we may be looking at needing to bring in 3 RB’s since going into 2024 as of now, we’ll only have Trev, Treyaun, and Chauncey. I do think we take another back in the 2024 class to pair with Chauncey though

I remember Billy saying they had to keep AR from running a lot due to Jack Miller being hurt the majority of the season

I remember CBN saying he has allowed AR to make those calls based off what he sees at the line of scrimmage.Said he is allowed to make audibles out of called plays if he sees something that warrants it .

Even came out and stated that AR was not hindered by an injury when everyone was wondering why he wasn't running.

I don't understand the legalities but I wish there was a way to restrict social media sites that try to associate themselves or purport to be representative in any way of the University. This one in particular should be easily identified as a fan page but there are others that can be mistaken as officially associated with UF.

Actual media sites contribute to the problem through lazy, parasitic reporting of anything these social groups claim.

That’s exactly what I’m saying. If you can’t pass, a running quarterback can alleviate some of that but a real quarterback can pass. Passing is what loosens up a defense to a running game. Given that a quarterback is a great passer like Mahomes, running is just an added dimension that opens it up even more

But even then the defense had to dedicate a player to spy on him, which meant one less defender for the RB and OL to deal with.

Reeeeally hoping Wilson and Mizell are the real deals because the speed threat alone can really stress a defense if you just have a QB with fundamentals. Take what is there. I'd rather we have a qb that took 3 to 5 yard gains from check downs or runs than the disjunct offense we saw this year. The home run threat is fun and can flip a game on any given play but there are so many benefits to having an offense that can sustain drives consistently.

I take nothing from the bowl game performance and imagine that Miller and Mertz are still unknowns going into this year. Either one may turn out to be functional.

A halfway improved D can alter those projections. Our O suffered because we played catch in most games. Imagine an O with a decent D?
