Excellent questions. And why the Special Counsel looking into how this happened and if any damage has occurred because of it is fully warranted. Fortunately, Joe Biden is cooperating fully.

Yes there are quite a few differences between Biden's situation and Trump's.

Biden had his files for 6 years.
    Trump less than 2 years.

Biden had his files in multiple unsecured locations.
Trump had his in one secure location.

National Archives not aware of Biden files.
National Archives aware of Trump files and in negotiations for their return.

Biden had no power to declassify anything.
Trump had power to declassify. Yes I know that is what was an ongoing part of the negotiations was did he follow a process to do this. He says yes the media and the left say no.

Just one point. Mar-a-Lago was not a secure location. After Trump left office the role of the Secret Service was limited to protecting the person of Donald Trump, not providing security for the premises of Mar-a-Lago. While Mar-a-Lago was almost certainly protected by its own private security their role was largely limited to preventing the riffraff from entering the club, not protecting what was secured within. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "one secured location" since the documents were found at several locations within a largely unsecured facility.
Another point, the same Executive Order providing President with classification and declassification authority also applied to the Vice President. Despite Trump's claim that he could declassify documents with his mind, declassification required the President to follow specified procedures. There is no evidence that Trump ever bothered with the requisite procedures.

Just a guess but the chances that the Trump bedroom where the documents were stored along with the clothing was probably visited daily by a housekeeper who didn't have a security clearance. There is also a good chance that maintenance personnel who didn't have security clearances visited other locations at Mar-a-Lago where the documents were stored.

Kind of illustrates the difference between a former Assistant U.S. Attorney who worked with the FBI on many occasions and a politician who probably got his talking points from the right-wing media.

You expend a great deal of energy focusing on relatively minor issues while glossing over and attempting to diminish the seriousness of Biden’s “document-gate”.

There is a rational explanation. If the originals were in the custody of the National Archives none of the documents were "missing". That still doesn't excuse the fact that there were copies of said documents at unauthorized locations including the Penn Biden Center and Biden's home but it does mean that there wasn't a "coverup" by the Archives as you seem to be implying.

you can just print them on the office printer, or walk over to the copy machine and make a copy. not that complicated

This post does a masterful job of hedging your bets and not locking you into any real standard.

Basically even if they find over 300 documents, it's still "not the same" because Joe Biden has been "cooperating."

As though all legal consequences simply go away if you "cooperate" with law enforcement. In the real world, where you're not a Democrat and "buddy-buddy" with the DOJ, "cooperating" may be used to negotiate a lighter punishment, but unless you have something bigger to offer like taking down someone bigger and more important and you're just a rat, "cooperating" does not just make everything go away. You still suffer legal consequences. I'm still waiting on both that and the calls for that from Democrats screaming "law and order" when it came to Trump two seconds ago.

If these were POTUS Daily briefings, which the first set have been reported to be, there are always multiple copies. The POTUS, VPOTUS, and whoever the POTUS designates gets a copy every day. The reason is simple. If there ever is a crisis, and the POTUS is incapacitated for any reason, the VPOTUS and other, high ranking officials are already briefed on what the crisis situation is, and aren't starting from a zero point when time may be of utmost importance.

so now we have 5 or 6 people, maybe more running around with top secret documents, does that seem wise, and i know you will say they should be turned over after every meeting, but as we have seen, many were not.

Probably in Biden's office when he was still Vice President and possibly years before he left office.

Obama was in office for 2,922 days, if I did my math correctly. That less than 20 total docs from his VPOTUS were found five years after is still inexcusable, but it's not a huge amount.

I don't know what Document Management System the Archives uses, but an upgrade seems to be in order. One that can track not only originals, but copies to better know what is still out there, and what is properly housed at the Archives.

    Nice work there Dom.

    A couple of add ons:

    1. BILLION$$$ from China to Traitor Joe, Inc. (Some of docs concerned China);

    2. Traitor Joe used meth head Hunter as alter ego to launder his ill gotten gains.

Well, if I have to review or comment on a document, I usually print them out rather than do it online.
