Note that he got starts in 2021 because of an injury, but that should suggest he was higher on the pecking order for OT at that time and felt better about any drop off going to him at RT than they were of the drop off between their RT spelling the injured C than someone else. Usually there are multiple lineman who can fill in at C, so I think that says something. Also, getting 3 starts at Bama is nothing to sneeze at.
How did Bama ever have a guy who was a 3 star out of high school on their team. I thought when you commit to Bama they automatically elevate everyone to 5 stars before the season starts.
