The damage to the university's reputation is significant. It's a circus.
He has proven nothing and is not worth the money even the GA and Bama quarterbacks have received.

This kid is taking a lot of crap for holding out for what he was promised.

 

There are reports that say JR, or his reps, asked for MORE money before signing. This was AFTER reaching a previous agreement.
So, did you come across a definitive, verifiable source of info that indicates it’s NOT the kid’s/kid’s reps own doing?

There are also other reports that say the kid was promised X and the NIL group that made that promise backed out on 12/7 kid signed with the intention of working out a new deal apparently it was much less so here we are.........and who knows what is fact and what is hearsay. I do not think we will ever know all the details but right now the college world is focusing on UF and how this all turns out. It can and will change the landscape of recruiting for UF and other universities and how future NIL deals are handled. The immediate need for now is to get this over and done whatever the outcome. Changes need to be made at UF and it's groups that handle NIL and from what I am reading on this site and others is the wheels have been set in motion to get our NIL dealings in order and remove the problem. Let's all hope UF and its sources get their act together, learn from this and avoid it in the future. For UF and BN, to take the approach that they do not have authority over these entities and they where unaware of the doings of these groups will only bite them in the ass again and again. They need to all be in sync and in agreement on who and how to proceed with recruiting, as I am sure Saban, Kirby, Dabo and others are as it shows they DO NOT HAVE these issues........yet

 

So, you start your post by acknowledging there are conflicting reports. Yet, you pick the side that implies the kid (or his reps) are innocent, and it’s the UF associated entity that is to blame. All while taking shots at UF & Napier, and glorifying what “Saban, Kirby, Dabo and others” do.
So, do you have a definitive, verifiable source of info for your anti-Gator slant?

 

Based on more recent reporting and the preposterous numbers that were being thrown around by people with no love for UF, I have my doubts about that.

 

It has been reported on MULTIPLE sites that a mistake was made and the agreement was rescinded by the group on 12/7. As far as taking shots at Napier and UF all I am stating is they need to get their act together as the elite programs appear to have done not glorifying anybody they just do not have this magnitude of recruiting issues. At this moment most media outlets are not putting UF and Napier in a good light. This will be used against UF with recruits and it will hurt us. I don't think at this point ANY information can be verified as I stated it's ALL hearsay other than the offer was rescinded. Hopefully this can come to an amicable end , but my opinion is it will not .

The fact that all these articles start by saying “Florida” as in UF, the UAA, Napier, etc. is the biggest problem we are facing in the press. Napier and UF pulled nothing.

Ridiculous how these third parties get thrown under the “Florida” umbrella. They have nothing to do with UF.

The folks running them are not the ones contributing any significant monetary amount for NIL. Therefore they are there to steal.

NO. Incorrect. I haven’t chosen ANY side. I’ve chosen to wait for more information to be released BEFORE choosing a side.
I’m a Gator, no doubt. I would much PREFER that it was JR, or his reps, that screwed this up. However, I have NO WAY OF KNOWING at the moment. I’m not so blindly pro-Gator that I would ignore what I perceived as a misstep by UF, Napier, etc. Nor am I so blindly pro-Gator that I would crap all over a teenager, just bc they, or they’re representatives, are seemingly at odds with UF. You can’t find a post of mine blaming anyone.
For those that have chosen a side, and you seem to be among that group, I’m legitimately asking if y’all have a definitive, verifiable source of info on the matter? If not, then I don’t understand all the shots being directed at UF, Napier, etc.
