I hope this ugly situation is what drives NCAA enforcement and legislation towards ending pay for play.

It’s …OVER. We should just move on from this sorry situation. NIL is the bastard son most of us did not want, but he isn’t going away. We, like every other program, are still trying to figure out how to exist with it. The family, is still the same family. We are all just trying to figure out how to move forward with the little guy, who no one knows, but has a slight resemblance of all of us.

Time to move on.

 

I couldn't agree more. To the discontented; take my word for it, this site is worlds better than any other Gator fan forum I have ever visited or been a part of. By way of comparison, I had the experience (misadventure?) of being a member for a while on one of the more toxic sites in Gatordom. The environment was basically a blend of petty egotism, vileness, maniac drivel and the worst example of Gator-on-Gator verbal assault I've ever encountered. Over time, most of the best, most knowledgeable and generally erudite posters either left on their own or were run off as a result of running afoul of the man in charge. The head honcho seemed to fancy himself some sort of tin pot Mussolini and conducted himself accordingly. That particular site was in the process of imploding when I finally had had enough and split. I suggest that anyone who feels a little chapped by the rules and requirements of this site do a little "shopping around." This board is a virtual paradise of reasonableness and civility when compared to some others, and if you don't believe it just call my bluff and check out the competition. End of rant.

My questions would be: What if this was all cleared up and JR was allowed to enroll early. What would the locker room environment be like after all this mess? Would the players accept him or would his presents be a total disruption? I myself think at this point you have to let the young man go a different route and completely separate him from UF.
