    ….you aren’t paying attention then

Bennett is the outlier. If you can have a historically great D then you can get away with a solid QB. Historically great Ds are a bit tougher to come by

Prior to Bennett you had Mac Jones, a first round pick. Then Burrow. Top pick. TLaw and Watson, had to go through some pretty tough teams to win it all. Then Tua who came in for the probable NFL MVP this year….

Bennett stats are better than solid. Look at completion percentage, total yards, TD to Interception ratio. Much better than many college QBs against better comp and defenses

with 20 coming for spring ball there is almost no chance of non-qualifiers. Every spring under Mullen we would be throwing around names of recruits we wondered whether they would qualify, and usually 1/2 of them didn't.

Mac Jones is way overrated and is a nasty person to boot. He was a game manager. A.J. McCarron and Greg McElroy also fit the bill. Obviously there were a lot of great defenses in the past 12 years.

Yup, he was a first- and occasionally second-read QB. They ran mostly 3 WR sets and his receivers almost always were open by 5 yards.

If we don’t consider Heisman finalists and 1st round pick QBs as elite then of course that means national title teams won’t have many elite QBs

Heisman became the QB of the best team award. McElroy held clipboards and commented on TV. Jones soon will as well.

Everyone was talking about how Mullens classes fell apart but Napiers wouldn’t…

Well with Rashada gone Napiers class officially blew up.

Hard to say if recruiting is actually better now. Napier is a better recruiter but it’s a new world out there

Mullen didn’t have to deal with this NIL crap. Give it rest. Dumb post.

In the NIL world you may be better off with a Mullen type that can X and O it, and have your NIL people get the recruits.

If Mullen could "X and O it", he would've did that with EJ or Ant. Creating an offense around the type of players you currently have. He's a decent play caller, at best.

I don’t see a lot of coaches X and O-ing their way to titles. Seems they run into a wall when they face talented teams.

Wishful thinking. Things will improve only after we hit bottom and I think we have a ways to go.

UGA OC is an Elite X and O coach. No on at the college level even close.
